The Nets are preparing to face Jason Kidd in New Jersey for the first time since he was traded last season.

"My feeling was always that Jason would be here until he retired," Rod Thorn said Thursday. "No doubt, if he wanted to, he'd be with us until the very end, because he was one of those special guys. I thought that's how it had to be, because of what he meant to us."

Most thought that too, but a championship was more important to kidd than the nets. I think he was fed up with jersey on several counts. He got divorced in jersey and that can affect a man, and the team wasn't getting better, it was in a plateau. So he made the decision for thorn. In the long run we shall see who was right, Thorn or Kidd.

I believed it but just didn't have the talent to push each year for a ring.

maybe in a few years after his value drops quite a bit, i mean when he's 38 he won't get offered more than 3 or 4 million a year.

Bring him back to be our head coach and win a championship as a coach of the Nets with Harris leading the point. ;)

kidd would be a horrible coach.. he'd probably want to fire ROD THORN!

Kidd would only coach if Scott Skiles would be his point guard since Scott was better than Kidd in his own mind.

Wow, I forgot all about JR Bremer. I remember liking his game when he was with the Celtics.
