QUOTE (NetsDaily)

Duh. Rod Thorn thinks the Nets, at the bottom of the NBA in field goal percentage and three point shooting, will need to look at shooters “very closely” this off-season and that means the draft, free agency or in a trade. Meanwhile, Kiki Vandeweghe’s frequent flier accounts are about to get fatter. He is scouting the Pac-10 and Big 12 tournaments this weekend. He will travel to Europe in the near future.

Help wanted: Nets need shooters - Al Iannazzone - The Record

What shooters could we pick up?

I say, somewhere on our list should be Salim Stoudamire. He's a great shooter, and he'd probably come pretty cheap.

Last time Thorn went for shooters, the Nets ended up with Padgett and Murray

This summer

NJ out:
Carter
NJ in:
Mike Miller
Jason Collins

NY out:
Marbury
2009 1st rounder
NY in:
Carter
Cardinal

Memphis out:
Miller
Cardinal
Collins
Memphis in:
Marbury
NY 2009 1st rounder

Buyout either Collins or Swift or both.

Actually last time he got Eddie House. Only time he got a free agent right. Of course he didn't keep him.

plural vs singular

I'd rather get a three point shooter that's been in the league rather than a rookie.

If only there were some way to know before the season that the team has no shooters.

Mo Ager made 136 threes in two years at MSU at a 38.5% clip and he shot over 40% as a senior.

Those numbers don't blow you away, but maybe he can help.

The Nets have needed shooters ever since Thorn took the job and he has still yet to get any decent ones. I doubt that changes next season.

I still say if only he had driven the couple of hours NE up I-71 in 2000 instead of just scouting the city of Cincinnati, he would have taken Redd in the second round instead of Soumaila Samake
