average is more like it to be honest, his lyrical ability is average and part of what made The Documentary sell so much was the fact 50 was on it and the production was hot.

Game was never a stripper, I cant believe people believe that garbage.Look at the pic, Games body looks nothing like that at all. Also, Where are his tatoos at?Game had tatoos when he was 15-16 years old, And there gone for that pic. It was photoshopped.

I don't think he's average he's more than slightly above. You can't say he sold records because he had 50 and because of the beats, 50 was on two songs. If it was because of 50, people would save money and just buy the singles CD with hate it o love it and how we do.

How about you study your facts and see that he sold records before the beef seeing as his album the documentary dropped January 18, 2005 and the beef with 50 began during the beginning of last summer (2005). He's gotten buzz because of the beef, yes but that has NOTHING to do with his prior album sales. So you want me to admit that he sold 5 million copies just because 50 Cent did two songs on his album? Come on man..

um three of four songs actuallyand they werent just 'songs'they were 24 hour radio spins and mtv spins/promotionbacked with Dr. Dre, Eminem and 50 cent hype..who were three of the biggest mainstream successes at the time

So he sold 5 million because of that? Make up your mind. Did he sell because of beef?(which came months after the album dropped) Or because of promotion from your label? (which every artist is entitled to)Dr. Dre and 50 Cent helped of course they did, I'm not denying that but you make it seem as if he is garbage and that's the only reason he sold records. You don't sell 5 million because of the group of people around you. Yeah if it wasn't for Dre and 50 game might not be known, but if it wasn't for Eminem and Dre neither would 50. And if it wasn't for Dre Eminem wouldn't be what he is. It's all like a chain very few artists make it on their own so don't say he sold because of the help because even Tupac which is arguably the best ever had tons of help. (mainly from digital underground)

Actually Game is amazing lyrically..I don't know what you guys are talking about. 300 Bars is crazy. Just listen to it..And before The Documentary dropped he had the song 200 Bars(diss to Joe Buddens and Memphis Bleek) which is almost as good as 300 bars but just as lyrical. 200 Bars and 300 Bars and Runnin' are insane lyrically. Also, sadly, Game would never been as good as he is today without Dre. Game was just an average rapper before he met Dre. He turned him into one of the best out there. Now watch me get hit with a a ton of people dissagreeing with me. :lol:300 Bars and Runnin' (most of it) -

A large part of Game's record sales did come to the fact 50 was on it. Like playa said, two of the biggest single in Hate it or Love it and How We Do included 50 on the track. 50 was doing real good at that time which helped promote Game alot. I'm not saying the beef was what sold records, thats nonsense, just the simple fact 50, Dre and others were.Game being amazing lyrically :HAHAHA: :HAHAHA: what a good laugh. Heres a verse from Dreams<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>I woke up out dat coma, 200 and 1Bout the same time Dre dropped 200 and 1Three years the album is doneAftermath presents: ***** Witta Attitude Volume 1Rap critics politicinWanna know the outcome!Ready to die,Reasonable Doubt and Doggystyle in oneI feel like Pac,after the Snoop Dogg trial was done</div> :HAHAHA: :HAHAHA: Maybe he had one or two tracks where he showed he can rhyme but the rest is just pure laughter.

Not to mention I'm from Cali and I used to be a huge fan when The documentary dropped. But yeah, I take back what I said about him being amazing lyrically. I was exagerating.

I believe The Game is a very good lyricist, but dissing one group your entire career and relying on them can only get you so far. However, I still respect him more than anyone on G-Unit, so whatever. He's not one of my top 10 favorite lyricists, but he is a close contender.

"300 Bars & Runnin'"... a freestyle?
laugh.gif
So the voice overs he did weren't done afterward or anything, huh? Freestyles are done right off the top. Game obviously wrote that sh*t down because he did voice overs afterward and all, which wouldn't have been so bad if people didn't claim the song was a freestyle. Freestyles don't have voice overs... AT ALL!

I agreed to what you said about a lot of his hype and sales coming from help from 50 and Dre..But my point is that you can't blame record sales on that everyone gets fuckingg hype and help it just comes with the career. And no, I won't shut the hell up I'll state my opinion all f*cking day if I feel like it.

Let me just clear somethings up that I just managed to skim over in the past minute or so in this thread...All those singles with 50 Cent on them that came off of The Documentary, guess what? They were SUPPOSED to be on The Massacre, but 50 GAVE them to Game.Actually, neither 50 Cent nor Dre MADE Game... DJ Whoo Kid did (50's DJ). He ran into Game on the West Coast, brought him to 50, put him on a few G-Unit albums (Beg For Mercy, Hunger For More, Straight Outta Cashville for example), and that's how Game started to blow up. 50 always wanted Game to come on tour with them so he could get comfortable and know what's going on and sh*t, but Game always made up BS excuses not to go, so 50 felt like he wanted the glory but didn't want to put in the effort that other artists do (promotions, touring cities, etc.). Then Game started doing sh*t behind 50's back, and the "success" from The Documentary went to his head. And yes, The Documentary sold 5 million records moreso because of 50 Cent and Dr. Dre rather than Game himself. Without those two guys, and Whoo Kid, Game would have had no buzz. His new album will be good, and I can't wait for it, but it won't be better than the Documentary (it might sell more, but quality-wise I don't think it will be better). And Ras Kass is definitely 1,000x better than Game lyrically.

However, I didn't mean he's like #12 or something. I mean, if he continues dropping good sh*t, like he does on some underground sh*t like "I'm A King" with T.I, I think he'll eventually become a top emcee. I thought it was simply horrible and extremely boring. I would say Hunger for More is just as good if not better then that wack cd.

A lot of people seem to like Lloyd Banks, I don't see whats so great about him. The only excuse mainstream listeners have to listening to that stuff rather then underground is that they have "better beats". Whatever, the lyrics are always terrible, girls, g's, drugs. Every single song.
