Well they had 6 to start the game and we didn't have much to play for on the last night of the season.

Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Anyone in here in attendance that night?

That game was bullshit. The Warriors should have had to forfeit the game. Fucking George fouling out then coming back in...bullshit. They didn't have 8 players as the rules state is required therefore the game should have never been played. That said, we played like shit because we didn't care, it being the last game of the season, and our place in the playoffs was already set. Still embarassing.

You have a problem with following the rules as written?

The Warriors do
How so? The rules say that if you don't have anyone who can come in for someone who's fouled out, that player stays in and gets a T for every foul. What did they do wrong? You think they should have had to just have an injured guy "in the game" standing at half court incapable of actually participating in the action?

The rules also state that a team must have a minimum of 8 players dressed and ready to play. They only had six. They had two injured guys who they had no intent to play, and who were not able, go back and dress in their uniforms. The game shoul have never been allowed to happen.

What, you think they should have forfeited the game because they had a bunch of injured players? That seems silly.

Portland was playing their scrubs since the game didn't matter in the playoff positioning. Aldridge, Camby, and Miller all sat. Otherwise it would have been a blowout.

I saw Miller on the court playing in the video. I was living in China at the time. I had no idea this game happened, very interesting.

Batum, Fernandez, Cunningham, Howard and Miller all played as starters. Miller only played about 9 minutes, though. Webster, Bayless, Ayres, Diener and Mills all played as reserves.

So, you're basically right. Batum, Fernandez and Webster were the only meaningful players (i.e. rotational players who averaged more than 20 minutes per night) who played significant minutes. Miller played about a fifth of the game.

Information for the game here.

Still, a pretty impressive feat for the Warriors' players. Doing it against the Blazers' best punch would have been impossible--but even doing it against a truncated roster that was 10 deep is quite an achievement.

I think Andre played a quarter or something, wasn't in the game in the second half. Only played so he could continue his consecutive games streak.

I seem to recall that they did put an injured-but-dressed player into the game after whoever fouled out. I don't remember precisely, but I think, according to the rules, that the injured-but-dressed player should have been required to play the rest of the game, but the refs determined that the guy who fouled out could play but would be penalized. Again, not positive, but I think the rules were bent with the welfare of the injured-but-dressed player in mind.

Turiaf. He entered the game then a play or So later proceeded to pretend to reinjure his injury

Nah I'm just griping. It was actually pretty entertaining to watch.

Totally remember that. It was crazy! I think it's fantastic! Almost as fantastic as US scoring a bucket with 6 players on the court..... got caught...... got T'd up for it and was allowed to KEEP the god damn points! And we won by THOSE two points!

Which game was that?

Boston Celtics when the Big 3 were together. Don't remember the season. Couldn't believe it.

I always like it when weird, seldom or never before seen things happen while I'm watching a game. Both of these were very fun to watch unfold. The Malice in the Palace was wild! But I still think my favorite was watching on a huge fuck-off 80" screen as Doug Christie punched Rick Fox in the chops.

I think we won that game by like 5, but I remember coming down the stretch it was a tied game or we were up only two. Can't believe they let us keep those points! Totally robber those guys.
