Miller is trying way too hard. He's not helping us right now.

What's he supposed to do when he's passed the ball with 5 seconds on the shot clock?

Our offense is retarded. Yeah, let's run so more clock. That's the key to coming from behind. Milk the clock on every possession.

Based on something other than tonight's stat line apparently. Wonder how Ibaka would fare being fronted everytime down the court with no one to spread the defense?

In terms of desire, hustle, and strength.

He couldnt fight for position with a 20 year old

Grow some balls you flusy

ok...we get your point...

:deadhorse:

Of all the catastrophic injuries we've suffered this season, the only one to do us in was a strained hamstring. We'd better get that taken care of in time for next week.

I hope Roy is 100% by next week.

Martell finally hit a 3. Too bad he made it when it didn't matter

Wouldn't it be nice to have Durant?

What would have happened if we took Durant? Would Oden have still missed as many games as a Thunder? Where would the Thunder be without Durant?

Wow.

The game wasn't very entertaining, but at least there should be some humor in all the "Durant sucks!" posts that are no doubt coming.

If we can't make outside shots, we're dead. With Roy we'd still be in trouble, but without him, dead.

OKC is a fucking good basketball team.

By what measure? Their opponent had 24 turnovers and was 2-19 from deep, yet they only managed 89 and it was a 5 point game with 6 minutes to go. They have a losing record against the west. Fucking good? Marginally good more like it.

OKC defense is much improved. Good to see.

They were spending a lot of time trying to get the ball into LA...which is uber-difficult when you shoot 2-19 from 3...

My point was, when you are losing by 9 with less than 3 minutes left in the game, you should never spend a lot of time doing anything.

You need to attack the basket immediately on every possession. There is absolutely no reason to run the shot clock down to the final seconds when you are behind. Attack the rim and get a shot up early in the clock and try to draw fouls so you can score from the line with the clock stopped. You're not going to draw any fouls jacking up perimeter jump shots to beat the shot clock.

Passing the ball around the perimeter for 20 seconds in that situation is just plain stupid. But, that's our offense. Doesn't matter if we're up by 20 (it would actually make sense then) or down by 20.

Sorry, you don't like to hear it, but I'm just commenting on what I saw over and over during the 4th quarter.

Exactly. We need a #2 scorer since LMA has removed all doubt he's a 3rd banana at best.

Trading either Bayless or Rudy shouldn't be a hold up for us getting another player that can get to the foul line.

Durant sucks??? I wish we had him. Are you kidding? Whoever says Durant sucks is an idiot.

Bayless gets to the line just as much as anyone in the league.

Bayless gets to the line more per 36 minutes than Brandon Roy. He averages 7.4 FTA/36 compared to 6.3 FTA/36 for Roy.

We have players who can get to the line. It's our offense and play calling by our coach that sucks.

Bayless is a perfect example of why PER is a statistic that doesn't scale up when a player gets more minutes. He's brutal most of the time when given extended minutes.

Sell high with these bench players.

Who said anything about PER?????????????

I think these last couple weeks really prove how important Roy is for our team, Once he comes back im sure we will bounce back enough to make the Playoffs, no need to go to crazy right now and sell the farm or anything... I'm trying to be patient and hope Roy(and outlaw) comes back at 100% after the all star weekend. I'm also starting to feel like I wouldn't mind if Rudy was traded to get us a rent a center for this year.

That's not your point at all. Your point is you hate the offense all the time. We get it.

But to point to the offensive play calling as the reason we lost this game is to miss most of the larger things that went wrong.

What's up with the LA bashing?

15 points off 10 attempts, 50% shooting, 15 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 steals, 1 block in 43 minutes. He was denied the ball on offense, and doubled when he caught the ball. Did I mention he got 15 rebounds?

Damn. Tough crowd.

LMA, Dre and Dante are the only ones that DID show up tonight. (Ok, Nic and Juwan didn't suck either.)
