I had never heard of the place, but judging by these photos somebody let a good thing fall apart.

And now it's gone.

I would imagine the insurance company is heavily checking into that.

Yeah, but unless there's evidence that point toward the owner, they have no option but to pay.

This video of its history doesn't even say when it was built. The current owner bought it in 1959.

The owner was 4 years and $1.1 million behind in taxes. For him it was burn it or lose it. Now he's getting the insurance money.
