Tiger Woods arrived at PGA National in near darkness Saturday morning and left before noon seeing some daylight as it pertains to his golf game.

Woods shot his best score of 2014, a 5-under-par 65 that could have been even better in the third round of the Honda Classic. When he finished at 11:05 a.m. ET, Woods had climbed nearly 60 spots to a tie for ninth and trailed Rory McIlroy by six strokes.

"I felt a lot better,'' said Woods, who ended Saturday with the low round of the day, in a tie for 17th and seven shots behind 54-hole leader McIlroy. "I didn't hit the ball very well yesterday. Just kind of grinded it out. Today I struck the ball well and made some putts.''
