A baker's dozen of golfers is within two shots of the lead after 2 rounds of the Nationwide Children's Hospital Invitational. The ability to stay fresh over a hot and humid weekend may determine who stands out at the end.

For now, Michael Putnam sets the pace. His two under par 69 Friday moves him to 6 under par for the tournament, 1 shot ahead of a group of four golfers tied for second. 8 more golfers are two strokes off the lead.

Scoring conditions were significantly more difficult Friday. Several players posted rounds of 4-under 67. But no one came close to first round leader Jonathan Kaye's record setting 63 of Thursday. Kaye in fact fell into a tie for 14th after a 5-over 76 Friday.
