Tightening rotation seems to be working

IMO, DJJ's minutes being reduced is no big deal. It was a bad signing, he's gone, and playing him is taking away from other people.

Little had a great season, it's sucked to see his shooting slide a bit, and therefore his minutes be reduced.
This Summer should be the Summer of Developing Nas. If there's a Summer Team, it should be built around him. Also he needs to drink lots of milk and take lots of iron pills because he's as injury-prone as Zach at the moment.

I said it form day one that Norm Powell will speak up if he's not getting the ball. He must be involved to water down Dame & CJ's domination of touches.

Dame/CJ's average combined usage rate is 59%; last night, it was 58.9%. Their combined FGA's is 39; last night it was 38, but CJ shot 3 more FT's than his average

need to see several games that are not blowouts before we can gauge if those two are reducing usage or FGA's. Dame has had 22 assists the last two games but that could just be standard variance

Let me know when the Blazers play the elusive non-banged up team. In this shortened season with its crazy compressed schedule, I don't think that there are any. People need to stop using that as an argument to put down Blazers' victories. Every team is playing banged up teams.
Yep. There are banged up teams in playoffs too. GS won all three of their recent championships by playing banged up teams. Lakers won Finals against banged up Heat. Raptors won Finals against banged up Warriors.

The Raptors championship is such an anomaly. Manage to get prime Kawhi for a rental. LeBron leaves Cleveland for LA and gets injured. The Warriors don’t have Kevin Durant in the Finals.

That Raptors championship is a fluke and their best player didn’t want to be there to defend the title.

4-6 in their last ten. It’s not.

We've been playing the short rotation for 10 games? You could be right, I'm asking.

I've been told the last month of our schedule was brutal. What's our point differential in that time period?

Last four. So they’re 2-2. Amazing, extend stotts.

In the 10 games DJJ got a DNP the Blazers have outscored their opponents by 8.9ppg.

Pretty sure we're negative point differential when he does play.

yeah, that can happen when the coach doesn’t know how to utilize athletes.

Same thing happened to Spoelstra in the playoffs last year...No DJJ = more team success.

Spoelstra just didn't know how to utilize him.

Seems the team is playing playoffs right now and Stotts saving his job by playing 8 men. It does not make much sense in my opinion, but I guess Lillard knows what he's doing. In best scenario we will go to 2nd round and have same energy as against GS in WCF. But maybe I'm wrong and we go all the way with Lillard on the painkillers.

Actually, it looks like they're 4-4 since cutting down the rotation - not great either way.

The whole "half the defense, double the offense" was supposed to be a joke.

If I was to tighten the rotation, it'd be more like RHJ, Little, and Powell off the bench, and I'd start DJJ.

Flexibility is what is needed. 8 man rotation most games but more on back to backs? Or against certain teams?

The rotation is mostly fine, but when there are B2B's with long flight/no rest, then maybe play more guys early and use those fresh legs. they wound up playing 14 guys, might as well let some get time in the first half.
