Tim confuses the best of minds, no doubt.

Looked like he'd be a consistent force, then the wheels (appeared) to fall off. Now he's on again, off again...never know what to expect, greatness, or a flat hanging curve, or loss of velocity...a roller coaster ride, up and down....

I hope Timmy gets hot as a firecracker, and stays that way....but then didn't he have some sore elbow issues last year, and the start of this year....?

he was a legend and kinda flamed out when his velocity dropped.

the way he pitches now, his stuff is still great (albeit a little slower) but his command has shit the bed, and sometimes when you dont know where the ball is going you get lucky and neither do the hitters.

congrats to timmy jim though! lets start a winning streak!

^^^IMO, the difference now with his loss of velo is that he can no longer get away with throwing up in the zone...above the belt pitches that once blew batters away, are nowadays being hammered.

indeed, those 7 MPH really do seperate the men from the boys, if he had a 98 MPH fastball still no doubt he would be a perennial cy young candidate still

Yeah I hope so, it seems like only yesterday they were up by 9 1/2 on the Dodgers & now its only 3. Suffering from a MAJOR June-Swoon.

And when I heard that Timmy threw another no hitter, before I looked at the box score I guessed that he probably walked AT LEAST 5 batters, but to my pleasent surprise he was only 1 walk away from perfection. Good for you Tim. Keep it going now.

1 Walk, one man on base from perfection. A great NO-NO. Much like Kerhsaw's one runner on base, short of Perfection, due to a Hanley routine throw gone wild into the dirt.

Both sooooo close to a Perfecto.

Plus, It's always good to see a SP, help himself with his bat too. Tim went 2 for 3. With- 2 Singles, scoring twice as well.

If I'm not mistaken Clayton hit a solo shot during his NO-NO, also helping himself with his bat.

Last Giant to garner 2 NO-NO's was......Christy Matthewson...~! (Nice company)...!
