Lermit Washington had attitude! Is he still around?

I actually miss Dale Davis. He was so much fun in the locker room and at practice. Great guy.

We had it, his name was Bonzi Wells. Problem was he was spitting on his own team's fans (and Danny Ferry).

BNM

Not to single you out BNM, but IMHO this statement illustrates a real problem.

Ferry was a trash-talking-cheap-shot artist. In 28 NBA cities, he was one of the most hated players in the NBA. In Portland, fans were upset that Wells stood up to him.

BTW, where did this myth about the Spurs start? Duncan is a class act, but they did NOT win with a team of choir boys. For awhile there, they had both Bowen and Ferry on the roster!

I think it was that the main cogs in the beginning were Robinson, Duncan, Avery and Elliott---all really classy guys. Yeah, they had the occasional Ferry and Bowen and Stephen Jackson, but they were role players around the core, not the embodiment of team philosophy.

I guess the next question is, what's Joel Pryz? I kind of think he brings as much fire if not more than Ferry or Bowen.

i give some credit to upper managment for clearing out some bad contracts, but we are not winning anything with this group of choir boys.
Those "choir boys" won 54 games last year, my friend. They beat the Celtics, the Rockets, the Spurs (twice), the Jazz (twice), the Pistons (twice), the Nuggets (twice) and the Lakers (twice).

u need some attitude on this team badly. we still dont got it. who's available? kp u need cocky fu-ks to win.
Iverson is pretty "cocky," and he's never won a title. Barkley was cocky, and he never won one, either. Neither did Isiah Rider, and he defined the word "cocky," not to mention the word "fu-k."

We've got all the attitude we need, and it's personified by Brandon Roy.

HEY SHOOTER MCGAVIN!!!!! HOWS THE REPUBLICAN PARTY TREATING YOU? ANY WAY YOUR BOYS WHO WON 54 GAMES GOT THE CRAP BEAT OUT OF THEM PHYSICALLY IN THE POST SEASON. BUT I GUESS YOU DONT CARE ABOUT THE POST SEASON. HEY MAYBE WE CAN BE THE NEXT DALLAS MAVERICKS!! WIN 50 GAMES A YEAR AND GET THE SNOT BEAT OUT OF US IN THE POST SEASON BECAUSE WE ARE SOFT! CYA LATER SHOOTER! TELL DICK CHEANY I SAID HELLO.

For once, I actually agree (sort of) with OIG. I do think we need some more attitude and swagger. However, I am also hoping that the emergence/maturation of Oden, Bayless and Batum will provide that. I also get the feeling that if Pendergraph can develop into a passable reserve PF, he will provide some of that attitude as well.

Also, I am of the opinion that success breeds confidence, which can result in the type of swagger OIG seeks. Last year, we thought we might be good; this year, we know we're good, and I think there is a world of difference between those two positions.

Actually, Rider won a ring with the Lakers.

Once in a while, we agree.....its crazy I know...

I think we've got attitude in our center position- Pryzbilla can stand up to anyone and Oden has shown signs of attitude, with a bit more confidence he can be a banger also.

You just need to be good. And we're good...

Step away from the keyboard before you hurt yourself.

I agree.... this team needed Ron Artest!

He talked so matter-of-factly regarding that player who was stabbed to death (in the heart) with a wooden table leg in some type of pick-up game.

Nice friends.
