I am pretty sure that has been done before where a player is traded and one of the conditions is the owner of the old team actually pays part of the check, as the Blazers did this before if I remember right, being the one's who paid the bill for the player who was traded. But I believe it still has to pass salary cap rules, which doesn't really make sense here.
 
Ford might be bought out by Indiana and sign with us. He's better than Patty I guess.
 
FWIW: Quick just said on The Game that word is TJ Ford is going to be signed ASAP. Maybe that's why Marks may be getting released.

Ford will be a def upgrade over Patty and Armon.. but four PGs is a lot on a roster..

We need one more big man, but that's looking nasty, with crazy versatility.

I'm all for getting TJ here. I just don't think we need Patty AND Armon here now. But that'll be addressed later I guess.

What about Rudy? He played pretty well last night, IMO, in the Roy/Rudy back court.

I'd waive one of them and try to sign Troy Murphy. No need for that many PGs. What are we, the Timberwolves?
 
Ford has been hurt so much throughout his career I thought he was much older than 27. Hot diggity dog! This is the Few-Tcha!
