I'm expecting to do the NHL forums this weekend.

After that, I'm counting on you (DPGB) to help get the rest of the forums done as well. This means:

Soccer
Generic NBA (for NBA General)
OT
Generic MLB (for MLB General)
etc.

Soccer is clearly the next biggest priority.

I didn't mention that I need one more graphic per forum:

It has to be unique per forum and match the team/banner colors.

Is that one attainable from the NFL/NBA forums? I know Im going to have to make one for a few other colors, but I can't right now. Taking a bit of a break from studying.

I'll use the blue one. When you make new ones or grab ones from the other forums, we can overwrite the files and the themes will be fixed.

The file names will be bar_blackhawks.gif, bar_redwings.gif, and so on.

Oh and I also put in two banners for a few teams.. Whatever one looks more legible to you, use that one.

If you use the gold background for 2 teams, make 2 copies and name them accordingly.

The way the ducks and combat sports forums got done is Speeds got me on IM and we went back and forth on this kind of stuff until it was done right. He was able to load the forum pages and tell me what he wanted fixed up.

For the NFL and NBA forums, we had done this already for vb3.

.. I can't find it anywhere.. It'll be easier if we just copied what was already in the forums for this thing. I renamed everything else... And do you really need the fillers and left bar named? Its pointless having the same file saved 10+ times. I can give you a list of the teams that need that image..

I'll change them when I get a chance, but why does it matter? Does it work better for uploading, or do you not know abbreviation for the cities?

Yeah, I need the bar images.

It matters. It's going to take me 4+ hours to set up all the skins. Replacing the graphics as you decide to change them, or when we find issues with any of them will be a piece of cake if we use a consistent naming scheme. A naming scheme that's consistent with all the other (NBA, etc.) skins, too.

And I don't want to spend any extra time trying to figure out which background to use with which center image.

It would take a dozen print screens. Most of it is done via the style vars once you have the theme set up. The process is lengthy because for each skin, I have to create the skin, then in the forum manager attach the skin to the forum. Then I have to load the forum page in my browser and tweak the style vars, reloading as I go to see the effect of the changes. If it takes me 10 minutes per skin, and there's 30 skins, that's 300 minutes, or 5 hours.

custom HTML to make the banner in the header template

applying CSS colors to things like the page background and those bar_ images for the buttons and other decoration.
