Currently the Yankees have the highest home attendance in the American league at 39,770 The top 5 are...

1) Yankees
2) Red Sox
3) Angels
4) Tigers
5) Royals

However the Yankees are in unfamiliar territory being in the bottom 5 as far as drawing on the road......

1) White Sox
2) Orioles
3) Mariners
4) Yankees
5) Rays

The Lowest drawing AL teams at home are the Rays (14,5) Indians (16,7) & the White Sox (21,4)
______________________________________________________________________________

The highest drawing NL teams at home are no surprise................

1) Dodgers (46,033)
2) Cardinals (43,140)
3) Giants (41,569)

Yeah, for the Yanx to be in the bottom of the pack, for drawing crowds on the road.....

In past years, when the Yanks came to Anaheim, all those games used to be sale outs, standing room only.

The other point to make here, is shut down the Trop, and move the Rays, but where too?

The fans want another team in Montreal but honestly I say fuck-em! they had a a team & never showed up.

I once heard Derek Jeter say "We're the Yankees, they hate us everywhere we go. So true, the Yankees were the block bullies and fans of opposing teams would show up to cheer on their home town heroes try to beat up on the Yankees. Then they started doing it, and as the Yankees started losing the interest diminished. Now when the Yankees come to town they are just another team. Saw an article on a potential move to Montreal and the A''s and Rays were listed lowest in attendance. Last Yankee Series at the Trop never topped 16 K in attendance. I watch Quick Pitch on occasion and it looks to me like attendance is down in many MLB Parks.

It amazes me that the fans flock to the parks during spring training in Florida but once the season starts

The A's are in the bottom 5 in the AL in home attendance averaging just over 22,000 per while averaging better on the road (28,000)

Over all the average attendance at home this year is 27,392. While in the NL the average is 31,643 but they have the 3 biggest drawing teams in all of baseball with the Dodgers, Giants & Cardinals all averaging over 40,000

Who is the big name draw on this Yanks team? ARod? lol!
