Tonight's game Thread

I didn't see one, so I decide to post it. I didn't see the first half but I saw highlights of it and I saw all the 2nd half. Now I had doubts , the Nets could follow up a win to the one against Denver. Instead of playing at the same level, they play even better. Golden State had no answers for them on offense or defense. The Nets were unstoppable.

Kidd just continues to prove that he can still play on a high level. Another awesome game for him 24 pts 13 assists and 9 rebs. Carter and Jefferson both doing, what they are expected to do. It was a great game for both Carter with 25 pts and Jefferson with 17 pts 6 rebs and 5 assists. Krstic also with a great game 17 pts 5 rebs and 4 assists.

The bench was really needed in this game but McInnis finished with 11 pts while Padgett with 8 pts.

Now let's see if we can pick up a third straight win against the Clippers. They are hot team amd it would be a great win for the Nets.

This is the kind of game that gives a team momentum. A 28 point win is exactly what the Nets needed, they have understanded after the Charlotte loss that something isn't right...they were not playing as well as they can. Now, after two straight wins against playoff teams from the west, maybe we can get a streak going. We have a last game at home, the last one of 4, against the Clippers and frankly, I think we have a good chance. Though they're a hot team right now, and are overachieving greatly, we can win if we play like we played against GS and Denver. The only thing that worries me is, if 2 or sometimes even one of the Big 3 doesn't play well, we usually struggle...that's why I think a better supporting cast is needed, though lately, guys like Scott Padgett and Jeff McInnis have been proving themselves.

The transition game returned the last two games...I think it has to do with the fact we where playing West coast teams..and West coast teams like to run and jack up shots..so that opened up runing opportunites that we dont normally have...and when we are running that means the ball is in Jason's hands, and when the ball goes through Kidd first we are clearly at our most effective. The Clippers are a team that pushes the ball as well...but they dont really push the ball looking for transition points or buckets...they do it more to set up an early half-court offense and create mismatches. I think New Jersey's ablity to guard the pick & roll is going to be tested alot more then it has been the last two games. And that could be where the Nets find themselves in trouble because the bigs dont do an effective job of stepping out to shooters in the pick & roll.

I have to send my deepest regrets for not being able to post the game preview for this game. I was in no position to post anything because my computer went dead on friday and I was not able to attain the neccessary parts for my computer until today, when the postoffice is open.
I sure hope that this does not occur again. I am really sorry

It looks like the Nets are gaining some momentum. They have won two games somewhat convincingly. The big three seem to be functioning. And I like the output that Krstic is giving. I sure hope that the Nets are going to go one of the 8 - 12 game winning streaks that had in previous seasons.
