Lmao @ the Q for having Papoose in his top ten songs of all-time. HAHAHAHAHAHA. Papoose is the most overrated rapper ever. Much more than ten, but I think getting it down to ten would be impossible since there are so many amazing songs. But yeah, my top 10 would comprise of 10 of those songs.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Nitro1118 @ Nov 11 2006, 06:25 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>I am a HUGE Nas fan, but I just don't like Nas Is Like. It's a good song, but the lyrics aren't his best, and Premier and Nas just don't go together. Again, just my opinion, and I'm not alone as a LOT of people don't like Premier.</div>Haha, I know it's your opinion, but you're dead wrong. NY State of Mind, both of them, Memory Lane, and Represent are all amazing songs, where Premier and Nas go together perfectly. Please don't ever say that again, thanks, bye.

But I didn't like Nas Is Like mostly because of the production, it was just a bit too much for Nas. I don't know how to explain it, but the beat was a bit too complex and forced the lyrics to fit in akwardly. It was also seemed to be the main focus, rather than the lyrics. It was just a weird song to me, the production and the lyrics didn't mesh.

He is one of the best out there and defenetly in the top 5 current rappers. Papoose has complex rhyme schemes, Incredible flow amazing lyricism and the most creative rapper ever. He isn't like most of the rappers around he is intelegent which most people wouldn't know by just listening too him and not paying attention too what he says. Papoose is great and I have no idea how anyone could say he is the most overrated rapper ever. He is underrated.Another thing, It is just completely stupid too call Pap overrated when one of the people in your top songs is Fat Joe... Are you kidding me?? Fat Joe? he is fu*kin terrible. His greatest show of talent is LEAN BACK LEAN BACK a retarded fish frog could make a better song than him.1

His voice is annoying as hell for one, and all he can do is rhyme. I've listened to several of his mixtapes, and I will say right now that he has greatly dropped off. I haven't heard him come out with a song that has substance at all. Also, he is known, he's going mainstream, which is gonna make him even worse. Just because you can rhyme doesn't make you good. Rappers like Nas, Pac, Biggie, they were the best ever and they were all versatile. They could rap slow, fast, rhythmic, substantial, anything. Papoose is sh*t compared to the best of them. Then, Fat Joe. I never said Fat Joe was a top rapper. You've obviously never heard the song I listed, so your opinion is worth sh*t to me.

He has more substance than most rappers out there you are listening too his commercialized songs. Listen too Go To War and many other songs. Papoose is creative and one of the best around. I agree Nas Pac and Biggie are better but they are better than EVERYONE else too. that doesn't change the fact that Papoose is better than most.Never said you thought fat joe as a top rapper. I said that you put one of his songs up there. any songs with him sucks1

And by the way, I am not listening to all of his commercialized songs. A Threat and a Promise, A Moment of Silence, Election Day, Menace to Society 1 and 2, Mixtape Murder, Street Knowledge, Nacerima Dream (advance), and The Underground King. I have ALL of those mixtapes and they're not even that good. He does have a few good songs but 90% of them sound exactly the same. He will never be great because of that fact. Go To War is a very good song, but that's just one song. One song out of about a hundred sample is not very good.

His only real problem is the fact that he hasn't had a real albumn yet. Nacerima Dream is gonna be the sh*t... He sounds similer in many songs too you because of his slurred street style of rapping which imo sounds good. You have too pay attention too his actually rhymes. His word play rhyme schemes metaphores and similies are legendary.. seriously... Papoose is a great rapper but I'll leave you with your opinion.1

Q-If you said Papoose was underrated a year or so ago, then I'd agree. But in the past few months he has definately become more mainstream, and more and more people are overrating the hell out of him. I agree he is a good rapper, but not underrated anymore.

He is STILL underrated considering all the other rappers out there that are terrible that are getting soooo much credit such as people like Lil Wayne and People from G unit. They are god awful excluding a few songs from Wayne and they get soo much credit. The people that OVERRATE papoose. Most of them just listen too him becuase somebody that actually listens too him says he's good and they hear a song or too and even if they don't like him they say he's good because they think he sounds street and they think just because of that he's great. he is great but people that overrate him and underrate him don't pay much attention too him.1

But the days of nobody knowing who the hell he was is over, and that's all I am trying to get across and how I can see how someone would say he is getting overrated.

I've known about him forever and always liked him. He known better but still the average answer too asking someone "have you heard of papoose" is "Yeah I heard of him, Dont know of I've heard his songs though" as apposed too what it used too be "wtf is a papoose?!?"People that overrate him overrated him for the wrong reasons. People that underrate him underrate him for the wrong reasons. Papoose imo is one of the best.1
