If there's one guy in film that you really don't want to fuck with, it's this guy.

Planning on getting it, heard it has even more detail.

I thought it was an amazing performance by an actor nonetheless.

I read it a long time ago. It might be a little dated because the book alternates long chapters about brand name commercialism (from the 80s) with chapters depicting the sickest kind of violence imaginable (muuuuuch worse than the movie).

I remember there was a whole chapter about the band Genesis. Lots of real restaurants, cars, stereo equipment, etc.

Ellis sort of beats you over the head with his message, but I thought it was a fun read, anyway.

I thought the "business card" scene in the movie was hilarious.

This is the real list

Dr Indiana Jones- Ford
Han Solo- Ford
Jules Winnfield- Sam L Jackson
Andy Dufresne- Tim Robbins

Hannibal Lecter (The Silence of the Lambs) - Anthony Hopkins

I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a few more, though.

Sir Robin - Holy Grail

James Bond - in terms of popularity, there are 21 Bond movies.

Just 5“ tough one

Jack Burton - Big Trouble in Little China "I'm a reasonable guy. But, I've just experienced some very unreasonable things. "
Sam - Ronin "Spence: You ever kill anybody? Sam: I hurt somebody's feelings once. "
General George S. Patton - Patton "Now I want you to remember that no bastard ever won a war by dying for his country. He won it by making the other poor dumb bastard die for his country. "
Blondie - The Good, The Bad & The Ugly "You see, in this world there's two kinds of people, my friend: Those with loaded guns and those who dig. You dig. "

2) Wayne - Waynes World - Mike Myers
3) Leito - District-13 - David Belle
4) Jules Winnfield - Pulp Fiction - Samuel L Jackson
5) Travis Bickle - Taxi Driver - Robert De Niro

I saw Taxi Driver the other day for about the 10th time and its still as amazing as ever IMO

i may end up amending mine, i thought of 2 that just cant be left out of the top 5....

Montgomery Brewster - Brewsters Millions
Doc Holliday - Tombstone

it's damn hard to have just 5 and I have a memory like swiss cheese, so I always recall other characters later on.

but to me George C Scott as Patton is there in stone. One of the finest acting jobs ever IMO.

I've seen Taxi Driver.. I wasn't that impressed. Maybe I read too many things about how great it was etc, but to me it was alright not great.
