It was a back-and-fourth battle all night, but the Austin Toros (25-20) fell short of the Sioux Falls Skyforce 92-90 in a game that came down to the last shot. After trailing by 10 with under five minutes left in the game, Lester Hudson and Tre Kelley knocked down four big three-pointers and cut the lead to two. Then the Toros full-court press caused a Sioux Falls turnover and Austin called a timeout with 18.5 seconds left on the clock. Pat Sullivan had a look at the basket from the corner, but the shot fell short, bouncing off the front of the rim and giving Sioux Falls the victory.

Tre Kelley led the way for the Toros with 23 points, two assists and three steals on 9-15 shooting from the field. Lester Hudson tallied 14 points, seven rebounds and four assists in 35 minutes of action. Jamarr Sanders added in 15 points, including three three-pointers.

The Skyforce (23-22) used a big third quarter to catch up to the Toros and eventually take the lead in the fourth. Jarvis Varnado led the visiting team with 23 points, five rebounds and five steals. Demetris Nichols finished with 20 points and nine rebounds on the night, while Andre Barrett scored 11 points and a game-high seven assists.

The Toros return to Cedar Park Center this Friday, Mar. 29th to take on the Tulsa 66ers at 7:30pm. Sioux Falls travels to RGV for back-to-back games starting Friday. Visit austintoros.com or call the Austin Toros office at 512.236.8333 to purchase tickets.
