The Austin Toros defeated the Delaware 87ers 115-72 Friday night at Cedar Park Center.
Flip Murray led the charge for the Toros shooting 50% (9-18) for the night, 5-10 from the three-point line. Along with 23 points, Murray added two assists, three steals and one blocked shot. All Toros scored following a solid team effort, five in double-digits.
The Toros took the lead early in the first quarter, outscoring the 87ers 36-10. They would end the first half with a 65-29 advantage. Delaware defense held the Toros to 23 points in the third quarter, but the 87ers would eventually fall short.
Thanasis Antetokounm and Damian Saunders both scored 15 points for Delaware. JR Inman added a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.
The Toros-87ers matchup continues Saturday night at 7:30pm when the Toros host their annual Season of Giving game.
