Touring with my band!

I know I have shared music and art in the past. But, we are finally going on our first tour in a little less than a month. This is HUGE for me! When I was in grade school, our teacher asked us what we wanted to do when we grew up. I said, "I want to be a member of the Beach Boys"....hehe

Anyways, we are about to finish up our first full length album just in time for the tour. And, to make it happen, we have set up a DIY Kickstarter campaign to help raise funds for it. We have raised quite a bit ourselves, but really, without label support (currently), it is tough. I don't want to be that soliciting guy, asking for shit, and I don't expect that from you. But, I thought I would share this, and if you dig it and want to help a fellow human being live out his creative dreams...... please feel free!

Pretty brilliant if you ask me. But, not the most user friendly set up. And yes, I agree about the E.P. We did that in a studio and rushed it because we were paying by the hour. We recorded our new album by ourselves, with my drummer as the engineer (he makes most of his money producing songs for commercials and movies). And we are spending a ton to get it mastered by a true genius.

Ya, I was confused also as to how to donate. Handclap, you should really fix that, I wouldn't be surprised if a gift or two cause propel got crazy.

By the way, how has the art been going? The piece you showed in the porn link I think was my favorite that I've seen.

You aren't the only one. It is a bit confusing. Honestly, I know nothing about setting up websites. It is something my drummer put together in a hurry once we realized we were about 2 weeks too late for a legit "kickstarter" account to get us the money in time for tour. It is wonky, and I will give him suggestions to streamline it. But yeah, when I first saw it, I couldn't figure the thing out either. Good to know I am not alone. Art has been alright. Haven't had a show recently, but am working on getting a couple of art shows set up. A lot of my creativity has been going towards song writing and short stories recently. I kind of jump around between all of those things randomly.

And thanks to everyone who helped already. My bandmates this morning emailed me and were all excited about the help we got from the Blazers board!

I have always had this idea in my head when writing of combining the beauty and melody of 60's pop (Beach Boys, Kinks, Zombies) with the dreamy quality of those shoegazer bands. Just wait until you hear this new album! It is sounding sooooo good!
