TRADE AM I CRAZY?

Seems like between those 3 teams, we get cut out quick and Minnesota trades love for 1

Love makes even less sense to Cleveland than LA does. Aldridge wants to win, but Love is someone that I get the impression wants the big lights. He'll end up in a Chicago, LA, or New York. He's not going to go to podunk Cleveland. There's zero chance he'd re-sign there.

It's a FREE forum, I can post anything I'd like. Bradley is easy, poison pill contract like Minnesota did with Batum, or we tried to do with Roy Hib. Gasol is a free agent, show him the money and a lineup that can win and he will come. Do those answer your questions elitist?

So LA is worth the top pick yet Love is only worth Batum? You also do not explain how we get Bradley or Gasol.

Crazy? No.

In violation of the "Do not post ignorant trade threads until you have 2500 posts" rule? Definitely.

Yeah. I understand it's a free forum, but you did ask the question "AM I crazy?" And put crazy things up for debate. Now would probably not be the most ideal time to get defensive.

Love is going to walk. They would rather have something than nothing, and they like Batum.

I like your idea and if you're Trader Bob, I wouldn't put it past you to get it done.

But...

It's going to take a package to move Nic for Love and one that will mortgage your entire roster. Again, if your Trader Bob you might be fine with that.

How about this idea. Move LA for Love which is more doable without including the entire roster. And moving Nic for a top 10 lottery pick some place?

We have the MLE (Mid Level Exception) and the BAE (Bi-Annual Exception). Do you think Gasol is willing to sign here for the MLE?

I still think Minnesota takes less because Love will walk otherwise, then they end up with nothing. Cleveland wants LBJ back, if the have LA and Kyrie they have a viable playoff contender. We give up Nic and LA for Love and Wiggin, Gasol can play from the bench and still provide good offense, Bradley, T-Rob, Claver provide the D on the 2nd line. We should never have signed Wright, we needed to play Claver because now he will walk, and he will play well for someone. Bradley is the only one I'm not sure we could really get, Boston has the money to match, but do they want to put that much money in a backup. I guess the same could be said for the Blazers, but I like the risk. If you don't like then tell me what we do to get past OKC, SPURS, or Clippers, because the team that was on the court this year cannot make it, yet alone beat the HEAT.

No, you have not answered anything. You have to have cap space to offer a contract over the MLE. Your poison pill contract is not going to be very enticing. Even still, the two situations you reference had the player stay with his original team and the contracts were for twice the amount. If Bradley accepts and Boston fails to match, which is highly unlikely, you have no money left to sign Gasol.

No elitists here. Learn the CBA and then post.

Lets start off with I love LA, but Dame is our leader and he gots to go. Ship LA off to Cavs for the #1 Pick, during draft, take Andrew Wiggin <------Freaking Enders Game, RIGHT???, Ok now we trade Nic Batum to the T-Wolves for Love <------Bring the boy HOME! So we start Dame , Wes, Wiggin, Love, Rolo. Wiggin will be explosive at times and infuriating another, but he has a HUGE upside, in the end the pain will be worth it, now lets talk about the bench. Pry Avery Bradley away from the Celtics, and sign Pau Gasol, PAY THE MAN AND HE WILL COME. Bench is as so, Bradley, CJ, CLAVER <------Dude can ball, LET HIM PLAY, T-rob, and Pau Gasol. This idea is golden, we get vets with exp, young pieces for our future. Am I crazy?

You lost me at "Dame is our leader." Maybe one day, but not yet.

The rest of this plan puts us into the lottery for 2015. This is a horrible idea.

If Minnesota were silly enough to trade Love for Batum that deal would have been done yesterday. That's one of those once in a lifetime sort of opportunities you just gotta take.

It is commonly agreed among NBA keyboard jockies that Love is going to leave. I'll grant that they may like Batum. But I doubt Portland is the only potential trade partner in the Kevin Love sweepstakes among 28 other NBA franchises. What that means to me is, they can probably get a lot more than a never-will-be-an-all-star Nicolas Batum for a will-be-a-multiple-all-star and All NBA Kevin Love. Personally, I also like Batum. Further, I have no interest in gutting the Blazers for a prima donna like Kevin Love. Let some other team enjoy the bounty of his empty stats.

Buzz around #NBA is #Kings leaders in Kevin Love sweepstakes when/if occur. Don't care about extension. Will trade anything but Cousins.

Although whats with the Batum never being an all star talk . . . I like to refer to him as future-mulitple-all-star Batum

I am guessing that many players would love to play with DMC and others would hate playing with him. Not sure KL and DNC's personalities would mesh.
