I figured since the trade deadline is looming and the Nets may be interested in a trade it would be useful for us to centralize the rumors that we come upon from different sources..Theres bound to be some chatter in the coming days and weeks about possible deals, and we can keep track of some of those rumors regarding the Nets right here...If you find a rumor please include the source and a link if avaible..

Because of the improved play of Antoine Wright, I think....Zoran, Lamond Murray perhaps 1 or 2 second round picks to the Bobcats for Melvin Ely

Speaking of Wright, he has definatly stepped up and Im happy to see him take advantage of the minutes hes been getting. Hopefully he keeps it up, Im really starting to like they guy, hes doing some nice things for us off the bench..

^Yeah I like his play but I'm all for shipping him out if he can bring in an atheltic 4 like Chris Wilcox who is gonna be a star in this league once he gets his chanceAnd its not coming in LA thats for sure

Im open for trading anyone if it imporves the team in the end. Anyone is avaible in my book if we get someone back in return that makes it worth our while to be a part of the trade..

I wouldnt want him anywhere near my team..The only way I would ever trade for Walker is if I had a deal set up with another team to ship him out right away for someone who would actually help our team..

Here is some additional news regarding the Nets and potential moves with the trade deadline fast approaching.Apparently we are considering Travis Outlaw from Portland as a possible acquisition. He is a very young, very athletic player (6'9, 225) who can jump out of the building (48 inch vertical). He hasnt gotten much of an oppurtunity to play because he is behind Randolph, Ratliff and Miles. Salary cap-wise, Zoran matches up, but a pick would likely have to be added..I dont think hes the solution at the PF spot although he is an intreguing option. The Blazers fans I have talked to label him as more of a permiter player and dont see him as a PF. He is a great shotblocker so that gives him a shot to play under Frank since he values defense, however we thought the same with LJ3...Then again, we have had success with a certain athletic undersized PF before..

But Miami for some reason are jumping on his nuts.

Zoran for Travis Outlaw, I would love to do that, Outlaw is a young player but has a lot of potential and will be a very good player for us in the next few years. But the Blazers are stacked with good PG's I dont think they will do that, but hopefully they will.

Zoran and Outlaw works capwise because they are both on rookie contracts, but reportedly we would need to throw in a pick as well..

Personally I would liek to see this. Why?Because we need someone to fill into Kidds shoes once he is gone and Travis can learn how to be like Kidd playing along side him. He's only 21 and he is better than most of our bench so I would like to see him here.

Hes not a point guard how can he fill Kidd's shoes? Hes a lanky 6'9 SF with freakish athletic abilitynot sure what youre talking about with that..

Haha I was joking about Walker.....just for the record all Celtics fans, I'm not crazy, I hate Toine, just a joke.

I really don't see the Nets doing anything before the dealine, unless they move McInnis for an expiring contract or something. They are doing pretty good right now, i don't think they want to mess anything up.<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Universe @ Feb 21 2006, 02:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Anyone can get moulded into a position. Look at Boris Diaw. And that deal is dead anyways.</div>there's NO WAY Outlaw could ever be. He's only a scorer, and he's not even very good at that. He has virtually no PG skills. And for your comment on Boris Diaw, If you remember right, when ATL tried to change him into a PG, IT DIDN'T WORK! That's why he was so unsuccessful there; he was playing out of position. Now in Phoenix, he is more comfortable if he doesn't have to "run" an offense. Yes, sometimes he plays back-up point when Steve goes out, but he is for sure not a full-time point guard. So you saying "Look at Boris Diaw" doesn't help your case at all.
