He was his usual streaky self last year. This year after a slow start he has been really good for a long stretch, full credit there. Maybe that is a sign of things to come. .75 ppg equals 61 points over 82 games. His career high is 53, so a little better, but again not a stud dominant guy.
He is not a 7 mill per + player. And I think the opposite. If Gorton was willing to give him over 7 mill per he'd be signed already. Not sure why one would think if he isn't dealt by the day before the trade DL that means he won't be dealt, not following that logic when most big deals happen up against a DL.
Truth be told, I think it is a coin toss whether he is here or gone at 3 PM tomorrow. I do feel he will not get a deal that starts with a 7 as his AAV from Gorton. I also feel he is either signed or dealt by 3 tomorrow. I don't see them keeping him without a new deal.
