Adrian Wojnarowski@WojYahooNBAIndiana has traded Danny Granger to Philadelphia, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

And it was only weeks ago when people were called crazy for NOT thinking we're a contender...

I didn't want to bring that up so thank you for doing it. So many 'scoreboard/check their record' responses to some of the issues. That there was no way they weren't a contender for some. I appreciate fandom but reality has to come into it at some point.

They are going to have so many picks and so much cap room it's ridiculous. What did they send back?

Adrian Wojnarowski@WojYahooNBAPhiladelphia is sending Evan Turner as part of a package to the Pacers for Danny Granger, league source tells Yahoo Sports.

They traded for a huge expiring contract in Granger. Hmm. I better check on the trade details.

So Hawes for a couple 2nd rounders and a scrub and Turner for an ending contract that Indy was dying to unload. Nice flexibility by the Pacers.

good move for the pacers. Good insurance in case they don't want to match a big offer on Lance Stephenson

WOW. Huge coup for Indy. He does a lot of the same things that Stephenson does, but it will be interesting to see if they can keep him this summer.

Yes....great move for Indy. Their bench is almost as bad as ours and now that will help. Sad that injuries forced Granger to be such a shell of his former self.

Pacers used their RLEC. Pritchard wasn't going to let that happen twice.

best we can hope for now is a decent big like Kamam gets bought out and Neil is willing to cut someone like Barton and we pick him up

Exactly. That is the next viable option. Good point.

You are the one has no sense of reality. You only look at the now, not the past offseason issues like RR7 clearly pointed out. And as you said "hindsight is 20/20" which proves my point.

That comment is so far off base as to be....'baffling'. I addressed the off-season issues and look at things very much from a big picture versus one game or knee jerk. I've had the good fortune and opportunity to speak with GM's face to face and have long-term vs immediate return discussions that were very fascinating.

Happy to discuss what I posted that was so uniquely 'Now' oriented. Please link/quote.

Philly also gets a 2nd rounder to go with Granger's ending contract. How many picks will they and Boston have over the next few years?

:matrix:

Indy is the big winner today. Turner is a good player. It just shows that Philly would have accepted a pile of shit for those two players.

That makes zero sense.

Hawes and Turner were both expiring.

But they weren't going to take what we had to offer, they didn't want to take on any additional salary for next year.

BTW, I'd like Adam Silver to say in front of a mic again that teams in the NBA don't tank after seeing what Philly did today
