We trade Rudy + picks to New York for NY's Gallinari and send Cunningham to Denver;

Denver sends Carmello to New York

Knicks send Gallanari to Portland and Picks + Anthony Randolph to Denver

(figure out how Portland's trade exception can come into play)

Plus Randolph (or Gallinari) and Cunningham (plus unspecified picks) is such a tiny return on Anthony that they're better off waiting to the final minute before the deadline for a better offer and risking losing Anthony for nothing.

Denver's headed into a major rebuild without Anthony anyway...Gallinari or Randolph doesn't really change much. Even a small chance of getting a real talent back in return for Anthony is worth passing on this for Denver.

I can see the NYC trade per rumors, but why would the kings do that? - they are way under the cap. Kings need a PG badly, that is what they will try to trade for.

Here's a crazy trade idea that falls just short of passing the TradeMachine smell test:

Portland trades: Brandon, Camby and Joel and Luke Babbitt
Portland gets: Elton Brand and Andre Iguodala (being offered as a bundle, supposedly) and Marcin Gortat

Philly gets...rid of Brand's and Iggy's long term contracts. Oh, and Camby and Vince Carter.

Orlando gets Brandon Roy and Joel and Babbitt in exchange for Vince Carter and Marcin Gortat.

At the moment this trade is a mere $24,000 from working (Portland has to give up more or take in less).

Why should we do it? To rebuild on the fly, and because getting Iggy for Brandon would actually give us a player who fits with the fast-paced style that's worked for us recently. (And reunite the two Andres.) Plus we'd be a defensive powerhouse. Well, except we lose Camby and Joel. But Gortat's good...

Why would the others do it? Philly to unload long term contracts for short term, and Iggy's just stopping their #2 pick getting on the court. Plus I bet Doug Collins would LOVE to have Camby. Orlando does it because Vince Carter is looking shot and they need a very good perimeter scorer to complement Dwight Howard. And if you're blowing money on Rashard Lewis, why not take a gamble on Roy?

If you've watched much of Turner this year, some might call that a good thing.

I like your trade, Rasta, except how do you work Iguodala, Matthews and Batum into the lineup? Batum continues to come off the bench? I think Batum belongs in a starting role. Of course, in the end, minutes are what matter and you could rotate the three players through two spots (SG/SF) and get them all 30+ minutes.

I don't think Iguodala's playstyle, though, fits with McMillan. Iguodala would lose some value playing in the slow-down, deliberate half-court style McMillan favours.
