Comparing this to the situation of others is foolish. Some dont have it. He has a fucked up shoulder. With a healthy shoulder, he would've been an all-star, 100% guaranteed.

He spent 3 days with a specialist he and his agent chose for a second opinion. The result? He is off to another specialist for a 3rd opinion. You must admit, this smacks of Dr shopping.

So you have examined his shoulder and seen the tests performed? The only thing we have on Fultz is one year of college. Are you saying he will be better than Lillard, CJ, Booker, Harden, Klay Thompson, Steph Curry, Chris Paul, Donovan Mitchell, Jrue Holliday, Derozan and the list goes on. Saying he will be an all star is easy to say, actually being an all star is a long road ahead especially if he came to the west.

By the way, the post of mine you responded to was about Josh Jackson.
Where did I say all of that? I mean all-star in terms of production, and I dont necessarily mean immediately.

I thought we were only discussing Fultz, so that's why it was weird to me. Makes sense now.

Please trade Turner for JR Smith before it's too late. The Cavs are one of the only teams dumb enough to make a trade like that. I don't even care if JR Smith just stays at home and never shows up. He only has a cap hit of $3.87 million next year instead of the $18.6 million ET will make.

Why do we get the three best players?
Mahinmi is 100% useless.

It’s not that bad of a trade all in all. They shed some salary, take shorter deals and get one very good player. It won’t happen though, too big of a trade.

I like that trade. Dame, Beal, Nurk, Porter Jr. , and Chief is a stout starting 5.

Aminu for Fultz makes sense for both sides, but only if Portland is hovering around .500. No way Olshey makes that deal if they’re in the top 3 or whatever. I’d also throw in Curry into the deal in that scenario

Already, Portland is closer to being out of the Playoffs completely than they are to the #1 spot.....held by the star-less Clippers. Mavericks and TWolves are both 7-3 in their last 10 and gaining very quickly for now. As some point, the Blazers will probably get 'hot' again but I have almost zero confidence that is it is something that can be replicated or maintained in the Playoffs.....as currently built and coached.

This team needs to move several players. As constructed they may not even make the post season. The Dame and CJ show has only so many wins in it. We don't need to keep thinking it's gonna work next year if we just add one more piece.

I don't hate CJ...he just may be the best piece to move to change the way the offense flows.

Or we can just keep doing the same thing over and over and wait for the result to change???

I figured by your response that you thought it was about Fultz, but one thing you did say is "he would've been an all star". That statement makes it sound like he would have been an all star last year if not for the shoulder not in the future. :devilwink:

I wonder how getable Tyreke Evans will be on December 15th. He's underachieved in Indiana but I think that's due to some inconsistent playing time. He would be at worst, another ET that can shoot better, and at best, an improvement.

Maybe something like this:
POR Gets: Tyreke Evans, Kyle O'Quinn
IND Gets: Evan Turner, Caleb Swanigan, 2019 POR 1st, (RTS 2020?)

If I'm Neil Olshey, Trevor Ariza is the guy that I'd be targeting. I'd bet he will be moved at the trade deadline.

Evan Turner makes that deal DOA.

Wild ass thought: if the Wiz start a fire sale, make an offer on Jeff Green and see if you can get super cheap since he doesn't appear to be part of their longterm plans.

Why? Expiring contract. TS% of 60% (59% last season). Having the best rebounding% of his career. His team is +8 per 100 possesions when he plays. Totally unspectacular but quietly productive. (more than can be said for certain members of our rotation) If the team is still trying to make the play-offs, he is a cheap, temporary bandage on the bleeding gash that is our forward position.

I would rather have Ariza, but I don't think we can get him. Green would be "Plan C' or "D".

:evilfire: Flame away! :devilwink:

Look at his advanced stats. Not pretty.
Ive seen his advanced stats and its not Micheal Jordan but he’s shooting 42% from 3 this year, he’s getting better as the season progresses too.

Would definitely rather have him than Aminu and ET.

Just seems like a lateral move that accomplishes nothing

We'd also have to include a pick.

They have tons of cap space this summer. They don't need to shed salary for the sake of shedding salary.
Well this changed quickly from barnes is overrated to why would Dallas do it.

It wouldnt be for the sake of shedding salary though, if they have multiple targets and guys they think they could put around Doncic then having more cap space isnt a bad thing.
