I am sure Portland wont do this, but if they got Abdur-Rahim for him they would be a much better team and can go farther than they would had Kidd been around. Yes he is a good PG but, the way Best is playing, Kidd wont be missed as much. They will have a low post threat, a decent but, young Kristic, Jefferson at the 3 Carter playing the off guard, and the floor general can be best. The Nets will have 3 great players and I think Shareef is an All-Star, and Carter is one too and Jefferson will become one this season probably. Like Henacy said, trading Jefferson will be a very foolish move. Unless they can get equal or more value. But, anyone else is probably not as good a fit as Richard Jefferson. He is dedicated, (signed longer with the Nets), hard working (that 3 point shot is from horrible to decent) and has become more of a leader. Not many players in the league are like that. Also what big man could you possibly get that is at Jefferson's level on the court/and off(work ethic wise)? Not many if any.
