I like it. He wanted out, and it provides us more cap room. Plus, early 2nd round picks have value due to them being non-guaranteed contracts. More trades are likely to come, and consolidating assets is what this team needs.

IDK what you guys are talking about. 31 is a good pick, probably worth more than the picks in the 20s to certain teams.
 
I like the trade a lot better then the Boone trade rumor. I want more cap space not less with a bad backup pf in Boone. I do think we should try and trade #22 and #31 or #33 for a better 1st round pick.

There is no doubt. We are one of those teams because we don't need another cap hold

It might be wise to trade out of the first round now. Turkoglu is obtainable.

We just went from roughly 7 million in cap room, to 8.5 million. That means we could offer at least 6 million more over 4 years to a possible free agent.

This tells me that we might even trade our #22 for nothing to get near 10 million in cap space and go after someone like Hedo.

I have GOT to think this is part of a larger deal. But then I thought that about the Zach for Channing trade...

Well it's probably just so the Kings break even financially. The Blazers could cover his salary and come out ahead if they don't have to pay luxury tax on it, I believe.

The Zach for RUDY, Frye, and James Jones trade. Those deals were all connected
 
I guess this means another PG is coming in somewhere--whether it is Hinrich or Lawson or . . .
