Trade targets if Whiteside doesn't fit

I wouldn't trade for Griffin unless it looks like the final piece to us winning a title. His body is a mess and about to break for the last time. Think Amare in NY.

As talented as Griffin is I have to agree with you. I'd much rather develop our own home grown talent than take on an often injured allstar with no loyalty to our city.

Only Blazer fans would want to turn away a perennial all-star and top 10 player to keep one of their role players. SIGH... Reminds me of not trading role players for Barkley because we thought we could win without him.

If you can get Griffin for Whiteside without Collins, then I would add any firsts available over the next 3-4 years. If Collins has to be included, then I would want an extremely thorough physical first. If Griffin was healthy then there is no question that trade would help dramatically.
