Return to the Jazz[edit]
On June 19, 2013, the Utah Jazz announced that Sloan was returning as an adviser and scouting consultant.[4]

On January 31, 2014, the Jazz honored Sloan by raising a banner featuring the number "1223," which represents Sloan wins with the Jazz from 1988 to 2011.[22]

Wow..... why would Utah do that? I get that Burke has been a disappointment, but Lawson is pile of hot garbage. He's completely worthless.
Disagree as up to last year Lawson averaged 15 ppg and 9.6 assists per game. He is not a great shooter, but he is a pretty good facilitator. Obviously the off the court concerns are an issue but I believe it is pretty significant upgrade from Neto and Burke for the Jazz. Burke only looks for his own shot and has been pretty poor getting his teammates involved his whole career.

that has to be coming from HOU. Lawson has Harkless in ORL type vslue

not as horrible as Lawson, and def not with the baggagge

True, but Lawson has at least performed well at some point. He was a pretty good point guard in Denver for a while. Someone who was a quality starter at one point, and is still within their prime, has more value than someone that never performed.

Its ironic that Ty has "Law" in his name considering he has no regard for it. He won't fit well in Mormonville (except for the cops that need more action)

Lawson is a boozer... Utah may actually be the perfect place for him now that I think about it lol

the thing is though, that place (Salt Lake in particular) is one extreme or the other. Mormon or an addict of some sort not much middle ground at all. You can still get beer, and long as its a micro brew it wont have government mandated lower alcohol content. the Liquor store IS government ran, BUT, people still wait in line for hours just to get in and buy something. And from what I have experienced the bartenders there poor pretty heavy. Also, they are just a few hours drive over to Wendover which is NV, where they all go (even Mormons) to gamble and do things that would be seen as bad if they did it in Utah...

Yep. I don't think the City of SLC did much to curtail the drinking habits of Jerry Sloan or Hot Rod Hundley over the years.
(Nor me for that matter)

If that is "As Good as it Gets", what a yawner. I think we start to see a number of deals in the next 3 hours.

Updates of all these trades will appear in the OP on page 1 as they come in and as I can update them so you can see them in one spot.

If the Stokes trade leaves the Heat $2.6 million over the luxury cap? They could send us either Brian Roberts or Udonis Haslem and a pick to get them under the cap.

Both are on expiring contracts. Roberts would be worth taking a look at as our 3rd PG.

No rumor on this trade, just thinking out loud.

I think you have the details on the Stokes trade wrong. Miami would be sending cash to NO. That is why the Pelicans have to send something to the Heat, hence the heavily protected 2nd that will never get exercised.

Edited....thank you.

The Pistons are doing work, is Joe Dumars still in charge?!

Unless there are picks or other things involved I like DEN's end of that deal more.

KeepOnRollin.....thanks for the continued updates. That helps me get them into the original post as I'm trying to keep track of a bunch of other things as well as.....work.
