Who's playing?
Vonleh
Connaughton
Montero
Alexander
Scotty Hopson
Patrick Christopher has been invited.
Wiltjer!
Houston bound
He got blindsided. He was to slow to the punch.Neil whiffed on signing GP2.
He gave them to montero and alexander instead last year. Lolz. What the hell?! Houston nabs GP2 & Wiltjer within an hour of the draft ending?
Good work by Morey. I guess Neil isn't handing out 3 year deals to undrafted free agents just yet.
I'm pretty sure that Montero isn't going anywhere. I think management predicts great things from him.He gave them to montero and alexander instead last year. Lolz.
Stupid. Cut montero and alexander to save 400kish each. Sign wiltjer and gp2 to those deals. I think you actually come out way ahead and have 800kish more in cap space this offseason. Every little bit counts.
Management has been wrong before. So it wouldnt surprise meI'm pretty sure that Montero isn't going anywhere. I think management predicts great things from him.
I'm excited to see Montero play. Heard he really grew as a player and person from practices this past season.
This really needs to be the Vonleh and Montero show to see how they have grown...I'd also like to see Montero's creativity in running the offense and setting up other players as well as making better shooting decisions.
And where is Daniel Diez?
Wish we'd have been able to give up his rights instead of a future 2nd.Daniel Diez is right where he is going to be next year....overseas.
Daniel Diez is right where he is going to be next year....overseas.
Every time I see that guy's name, I think of "McFarland"Daniel Diez is right where he is going to be next year....overseas.
Good movie.Every time I see that guy's name, I think of "McFarland"

We saw Vonleh start all season. We saw in a bunch of D-League games that Montero starred as a dribbling playmaker, and Alexander showed that he's powerful but too short to play center and must become a forward. We know that they're all good but need another year. What this Summer League needs to test out is Connaughton and Layman. And where is Daniel Diez?
If he is too short to play center, then why isn't Horford? Cliff has a longer reach by 2-3 inches. He is all center IMO because he can't shoot from the outside, so he really does not have any other option. FYI he has the same standing reach as Steven Adams. (9'1.5")
I tried to do play-by-play on this board for his 4 D-League games. As I often noted, he didn't stand out from other D-League centers and power forwards because he had no height advantage. He did stand out for attempting power moves on offense (though those were easily defended as often as not). I noted over and over that he looks 6-8 (not 6-10 as some claim), but is built like a bulldog (once, I said he looked like an upside-down triangle). Our coaches need to convert him to PF next season, but in this Summer League, he's our starting center.
