TRAIL BLAZERS ACQUIRE 34TH OVERALL PICK FROM GOLDEN STATE
Portland gives Warriors 44th pick and cash considerations

PORTLAND, Ore. – The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired the 34th overall pick in the 2010 NBA Draft from the Golden State Warriors in exchange for the 44th overall selection and cash considerations, it was announced today by General Manager Kevin Pritchard.

The Trail Blazers now hold the 22nd and 34th overall picks in Thursday’s NBA Draft.

PA letting KP play with money. Interesting.

I wonder if PA is legitimately giving KP one more shot. He has to feel the fan pressure, and there's no doubt PA loved the Camby trade.

I bet this is a move to ensure we draft either Jerome Randle or Trevor Booker.

Nice!

This looks to be a deep draft so that could end up being a legitimately productive player at the start of the second round.

If they even keep the pick. This could just be the start of acquiring picks to move up even higher.

This is big. Not Travis Diener big, but it's big.

lol.

Seriously, though, I love that our team gets to do these little moves every year. Turn a completely worthless pick and some cash into an early second rounder. It doesn't pay off every time, but if you keep doing it year after year it pays dividends.

Last year you could buy the 29 pick for 3M. 31 for Sergio, 37 and 1.2M (iirc). 36 pick for 1M cash and a conditional 2011 2nd.

I hope he keeps collecting them. 31-33 are valuable picks, if you use them on foreigners that you can pay outside the rookie scale.

So the 22, 34th pick and $3million more moves us how far up in the first round? I doubt it gets us to the top ten, but maybe the early teens?

That's what I was thinking. Maybe some non defending shooter we can use in spots. I like it.

Portland moves up to #34 in exchange for cash. My guess is they're going after either Gani Lawal or Trevor Booker at that spot.

We're having a rally to celebrate this right?

Darington Hobson? Or does 22+34 = 18, allowing us to pick in front of SAS and OKC?

#22,#34, cash and Greg Ostergtag to Utah for DWILL!

That forum is impossible to understand! What a mess!

for sure man, I wonder if the topics get bumped like on here.

Their format sucks, but they sure have a lot of activity. Maybe you should do some soliciting, try to get them to migrate to SportsTwo. Who knows, maybe DC'll kick you a commission!

I tried reading some posts and it's impossible to understand! I love this place!
