We just need a win tomorrow, and who better than the Clips? Actually with Zach waiting around, who knows...

Can we just post up our bigs as a FIRST option? I don't care that we lost, it was the manner in which it happened. We got out hustled and just played long ball all game long.
I feel like we are wasting Bayless and Oden and working Roy and LA too hard.
Really losing confidence in Nate.

by the way, Roy tied his career high tonight

That's not a good thing, when Roy scores more, it typically means everyone else is playing horribly. Most of Roy's high scores came from games in which no one else could score.

yep. we needed to feed lamarcus more after the first.

According to the +/- rating, Batum was our best player with o pts, 1 rb and a foul.

+2.

Or no one else got the ball.

I usually don't get credit to the other team after a loss, but damn the Jazz played a gritty game tonight. They do more with less, I swear. And man, I would kill to have Sloan as our head coach. Utah just flat out wanted it more. They saw the refs were gonna let them be aggressive and they ran with it, can't blame them there. Utah handed our asses to us tonight and for the most part, we just took it.

these refs are allowing murder to go on and we continue to play pat-a-cake instead of world of warcraft

Stop blaming the refs. We got out coached, again. We took way too many 3's. We had no flow to our offense. Our defensive rotation was horrible. Outlaw and Sergio was awful tonight.
We win games on talent, not on execution. I don't dislike Nate as a person, but he has no imagination. Our offense suck. We have 2 very gifted players in Roy and Aldridge. Every time they iso, we score, other than that, we are easy to defend. Pick&Roll and Roy.

Agreed. We win when Roy goes for 25 points, 8 assists.
We don't win when Roy goes for 33 points, 0 assists like tonight.

I'm going to pass this game off as one-part the team being drained from their tough, tough early season schedule; and one part a major, major hose-job by the refs that helped dig us a deep hole, and keep us there until it was too late to get out. Really f'd-up officiating tonight.

This game also reminds me of why I hate the Jazz so much, and have hated them for a couple of decades now. They push, shove, grab and clobber, and yet get called for a fraction of the fouls we do -- and we're basically not doing anything aggressive at all. And worse, their fans have a cardiac if even the most eggregious foul is called against them. I hate Jazz fans. Really.

The good news is, our guys should be able to rest a little more and regroup a bit with a few more home games. We'll be back on track soon enough.

Go Blazers!

Man as much as I've hated the Jazz over the years, Jerry Sloan is a damn good coach that doesn't let his players get away with anything. Like not playing defense.

Hard to get assists when no one elses shot is falling except for LA.

Well, we need playoff experience but we need a new coach. I am somewhat conflicted as to what I would prefer. Wait, I would just rather have both. Fire him now and then devise a lottery to pick the next coach from the public. Yeah, that's the ticket.

everyone wants to fire nate, but seriously. who would we hire?

Or no one else got the ball.

So who would you give it to? Sergio? Dribbled it of his leg three times.Outlaw? He was totally lost tonight.

We need to make a trade and get rid of our change. This is a grown man's game, lets get $ bills.
We need to get Outlaw, Sergio or fry out with Raef's contract and get a point guard who can get our offense going.

I wish we would get the ball to Oden off of pick and rolls, but most of the time it looked like to me it's a really bad angle. I don't mind if Oden messes up, he needs to have the chance to make mistakes and learn, but if it's a TO before he gets it that isn't helping him learn. I think one reason Joel has better success is other teams don't worry about him like they do Oden while they should.

Sometimes, wins do accompany great individual performances. Jordan made a career of it. Last night, Melo scored 45 and his team won. Why can't Roy score big and have us win? One could say that Roy didn't score too much, he didn't score enough. Sometimes, your star has to step up and do what must be done to win the game. If he had a big 4th, we probably would've won.

Nonsense.

Just a bad couple of games against well-coached teams.

Doesn't mean a thing.

Some practice and home-cookin' and we're Red Hot and Rollin'.

I don't think he was blaming the refs. I think he was pointing out that the Jazz got really aggressive while we continued to shoot three pointers and jumpers and the refs rewarded the Jazz and.. we did nothing to get rewarded too.

We just have way too many young players that we rely on that if we don't get them involved, then their minds wander and they don't feel apart of it.
Brandon is just a better player and we're a better team, when everyone is involved. We're not good enough to rely on just one player. MJ had vets, Denver has experienced guys like Billups.

come on nate haters. who would we hire?

I'd try to go after Van Gundy personally. While his offense is not the best I think he would definitely shape us up on the defensive side. I have complete faith he would not inexplicably have us in a zone when the other team is raining three pointers on us.

I'd also consider Avery Johnson but am not entirely sure if I'd want him. Of course he did get Dallas to the finals.
