This is a 22 point blowout... this game was lost by our players not the refs...

This game was lost by our players (notably Camby) being taken out by bad calls, which then leads to blowouts. This garbage quarter aside, those calls were killing us when this was still a game.

Inexcusable to get beaten on the boards that badly. That was the difference in the game.

I have a feeling there will be a game 7 so the Blazers should be right back here and hopefully they bring it for a full 48mins.

Nate is just incapable of making in game adjustments ... I think he's OK when he's got a couple of days to think about something, but I'll be damned if I've ever seen him try to exploit a mismatch.

CHANNING FRYE HAS A 20 POINT PLAYOFF GAME!!!! ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME????????

Bah... we blew a 14 point lead in no time by playing crappy D. That's not the refs. We continue to let them shoot uncontested 3s...again not the refs fault... any game you can point to a suspect call here or there, but we just got our ass kicked for the 3rd time in the series. We were not playing well tonight and we got another world class drubbing...

And what changed between the great D we played early and the crappy D that followed? A certain foul call removing a certain all NBA defensive player perhaps?

I mostly agree. But it is amazing how much refs can play a part. They completely took Roy out of the game. When was the last time an all-star guard played only 6 minutes in a playoff game due to foul trouble? That would never happen to the Kobes of the world. And Camby had some phantom calls go against him. Every time he was on the bench, the Suns took over. Just those two guys being "allowed" to play heavy minutes and get into the game would have made a huge difference - which is why just a few whistles can make a huge difference. And if we had 14 more free throws than them, instead of the other way around - well, that would have been nice too. Maybe the refs didn't cost us the game, but our players would have had to play PERFECTLY to win despite them.

we would shoot more free throws if we didnt shoot jumpers all game

Good D is hard D, the refs called close to 20 touch fouls on us, mostly on our key players, preventing us from playing D any more.

Watch any playoff series and you'll see the exact same formula. Control who wins so more games are played = more millions for the NBA.

Back in the day you used to see lots of 4-0 series and 4-1 series, but they have strangely ceased to exist.

Anyone naive enough to believe each series winner hasn't been pre-determined is, well, naive.

Let me guess...you are watching KGW, right?

The crappy calls happened on whatever network - or are you disputing that the calls happened? Did Mike and Mike just convince me that our guys got in foul trouble on ticky tack contact away from the ball that wasn't called at the other end - because I clearly don't have my own eyes. Thanks for clearing that up!

I don't remember the 3rd foul but the 1st 2 were obvious, had to be called, fouls...the first he grabbed a guy from behind to stop a direct move to the basket...the refs can't ignore stuff that blatant.

He finally started hitting the open looks Portland kept giving him, and as per usual we failed to adjust in-game to hot three point shooting (aka closing out/guarding them).

Its too bad we didn't bring the effort tonight. The same idiots will blame it on gameplan or adjustments, but I think it's obvious one team wanted it more than the other.

The refs may have had a negative impact on the Portland defense - but the failure to execute on offense is on the players.

The only one I can really remember is when he had Rudy keep going at Ty Lawson in the first Denver game this year.

I counted 5 times we went to the rack and there was contact in the air, and the foul was not called on the suns, what do you expect?

LOL, so yes, you're watching KGW...that explains it.

Pretty much. Phoenix was gobbling up every offensive board within reach, some that even hit the floor first before the Suns picked it up. Terrible effort tonight. Sure it hurt losing Camby, but rebounding is a team effort, not all on one guy.

And speaking of Camby, it'd sure be nice to have the two-headed monster right now. Portland absolutely owned the boards with a 2 center rotation. God I miss those days. Shit like this wouldn't happen.

Agreed. Phoenix really wasn't that much more aggressive than us. This is why home court advantage is so hard to overcome.
