Forgive me if this has already been discussed. I didnt see a thread about it.

TRAIL BLAZERS ACQUIRE FUTURE SECOND ROUND PICK FROM MINNESOTA

Draft rights to Tanguy Ngombo sent to Timberwolves

PORTLAND, Ore. - The Portland Trail Blazers have acquired a future second round pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in exchange for the draft rights to forward Tanguy Ngombo, it was announced today by the team.

Selected by Dallas with the 57th overall pick in the second round of last week's draft, Portland gained the draft rights to Ngombo as part of the trade that sent guard Rudy Fernandez to the Mavericks.

Good trade for Portland IMO. Took the 4th from last pick in the second round and probably turned it into a pretty high second round pick in a year or two

no you can protect any pick, sometimes you see a 2nd pick traded with like top 53 protection

Thread stealer!

I actually did start a thread with this exact press release last night, it's gone now. Oh well. As long as the info is getting out.

lol, probably top 52 protected.

Yep. Same as first rounders. A lot of times, to include something, teams will do top 55 protected for three years, and then cash. I don't know why they just don't give the cash initially.

I find this funny every time I read it. Seriously.
