After a crushing performance on december 14th against the Philadelphia 76ers, the portland trailblazers have suddenly taken a downfall. with horrifically close victories against some of the worst teams in the NBA, the team from what is known as rip city have been preforming at a much lower level than at the start of the season. The suffered an 11 point loss against a moderate timberwolves team it seems to me this trailblazers team must step it up quite a bit to beat a tough clippers team tonight. How do you think this team is performing? To me it seems they can step it up a lot more.

lol. Detroit is a matchup nightmare. Cleveland is good at home. Yada yada yada. Our defense is not good. We're fine.

A victory is horrific when one of the so called "best teams in the NBA beat a mediocre team with a way worse reputation and record by only a 1-5 point margin

Then there are a TON of horrific defeats. Miami has lost to a lot of mediocre teams and barely hung on to others.

Not a good argument.

This is why we shouldn't let rookies start threads.

Our defense has been really bad. If that continues as our season gets harder, we will be in for a rude awakening

I am somewhat concerned about the possibility of us having already peaked. We'll have a better idea by the end of the year. Luckily the new year starts out pretty soft, so maybe we can build some new mojo.

miami is not a good team this year either. from crushing teams last year they have fallen to the second best team in the east right above some of the worse teams in the NBA. team that is definitely a good team is OKC they have held a good reputation and barely lost to the trailblazers when they were at the moda center. Now they are crushing teams every game. Im not saying its a good argument but its one to think about

Yeah. This is officially a joke. Miami is a good team this year, and they are the two time champs with pretty much the same roster. Teams lose to lesser teams all the time.. You'll learn that, eventually.

Also - OKC lost to Toronto at home. That team sucks under your formula. Just saying.

Your presence makes it so. The smell.

Toronto beat OKC in OKC! Lmao! We beat Raptors soundly on the road

haven't you been saying that pretty much the whole season?

to all of you who believe this is a "troll" post i am a true blazer fan. i am simply asking how others believe this team is preforming. I have always been a fan and will always be a fan, i'm not saying this team is bad i am saying they can improve in certain areas. I am simply being realistic.

Season such is all things in life is a marathon. You can't be at a level 10 all the time. If you were, burnout would occur. There will be ebbs and flows throughout the season. Moments in which they are playing really well and times where they are doing well enough to get by. Interestingly, you say they are playing poor. They are still tied with the best record in the league. What you want to see is that they peak at the right time. I'd rather see them play their best ball in April rather than December.

You say?

Yes, and when it starts to get harder, you will see I am right.

you could be right.

I guess I know nothing because defense doesn't matter

why are you making an argument against something no one has said? what are you, 14?

Every team can improve in certain areas.

Hell, the Heat suck at one of the "essential" parts of basketball *rebounding* and they've won 2 titles back-to-back.
