...if you have to Google to find the answer don't play.

I was voted MVP...but I never played in an All Star Game...who am I?

...the answer really surprised me.

quite a few mvp's that didn't make the all-star game the year they won MVP. But you mean an MVP that NEVER was selected all star in their career?

...this particular individual NEVER played in an AS Game.

Has to be before bloated rosters. Hank Greenberg would be my guess with Gehrig a lock at 1B all those years.

...nope, but a good guess...but I will say that this player came after Gehrig...and like I said, the answer really surprised me.

...No, but another very good guess. (the answer will blow your mind)

Please, another clue. In what decade(s) did this player perform? old timer?(before 1970s)

^^^lol...I gave the answer in my previous post....shoulda kept you guys guessing a little longer.

I'll try to post a good trivia question each week...some will be easy, some will not.

^^^^goes to show you...........the answer is right in front of me and I still don't
see it! LOL

Can't believe Kirk Gibson never played in an AS Game...I think I read that he was selected twice but turned down both invitations.

I would of never known otherwise, wow,.... but, yep, Gibson turned down an invite, as a reserve, from his own Mgr. Sparky in 85, (Anderson picked reserves); then another from Herzog in 88.

Yeppers indeed, fkng mind boggling, the guy played like he was roaming the outfield like a Linebacker, hit like one too, (w/the bat)...!
