Crazy. Oh well, to each their own. Also, Jacoby, you should definitely check out the listed songs as well, you should definitely like them.

Just listened to three --

Strings of your Martyr -- 3/5
Ascendancy -- 4/5
A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation -- 4/5

So I think I'll add Insurrection to my list of songs to check out. I'm listening to it right now, and I'm really starting to like this tune A LOT.

So I'm pumped for tomorrow night. I'm going to see Trivium with All That Remains, 36 Crazyfists and The Human Abstract. Should be a hell of a show. I'm really hoping that Trivium closes the night with Shogun...really hoping.

Just got back from the show, freaking amazing. The Human Abstract was damn good. Their guitar players were ridiculous, and they're a band I might look in to at some point. 36 Crazyfists was awesome as well. However, Brock, their lead singer, fucked up the name of the city. He called us Cedar Falls initially. When he found out he was playing in Cedar Rapids, he was like "Alright guys, on three, everyone say, Brock you're a fucking douchebag." It was pretty funny. All That Remains was ok. I think I'd have enjoyed their set more if two things would have happened. First, the smoke on their set was annoying. They released a crap load of smoke at the very beginning of the set and it never seemed to go away, it just lingered, which was highly agitating. Secondly, and most importantly, their set was too long. They played nearly an hour and eventually grew boring, at least for me.

Trivium however, was amazing. Hands down the best act of the night. It's kind of unfortunate that so many people left after ATR, cause they missed an incredible show. The only unfortunate thing was they only played for about an hour because ATR played so damn long before them. But, their set list was great. Off the top of my head, they played Kirisute Gomen, Into The Mouth of Hell We March, Down From the Sky, Insurrection, Pull Harder on the Strings of Your Martyr, A Gunshot to the Head of Trepidation, Like Light to Flies, Becoming the Dragon and Rain....for that matter, I think that was the whole set list. But yea, great set list, definitely could have been longer and was definitely missing some of my favs, but oh well. They were AMAZING and I can't wait for them to come back around.

I'm starting to like the 2nd track, Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis. He Who Spawned the Furies isn't too bad either.

Too bad they didn't play Shogun at the show Moo. That's easily my favorite track of the album.

Someone was talking about this band today - I haven't really heard a lot of their shit.

Trivium?

You want to hear it.

'Shogun', 'Into The Mouth of Hell We March', 'Kirisute Gomen', 'Like Callisto To A Star In Heaven', 'Torn Between Scylla and Charybdis'... check those out.

Into The... and Kirisute Gomen might be on youtube, but I doubt the others will since the album's relatively new and those weren't released as singles.

Yea, I was a bit disappointed, but overall, they played a rocking set list. Their choices were awesome, especially the ones they played from Ascendancy. I loved their choices from Shogun too, those are four of my favs, the only one they really missed that I wanted to see was Shogun, and that's hands down the best track they've ever done. God I can't wait to see them again, they really need to come around here again.

They're amazing dude. I've been a fan of them for a few years now and they've really become one of my favorite bands out there. Their music is good, the musicianship on most of their stuff is amazing, and they put on a great live show. I'd definitely recommend them.

Personally, I'd recommend not wasting your time YouTubing them...I'd just buy their stuff. Personally, I think their Shogun album is the best, followed by Ascendancy, The Crusade, and then Ember To Inferno. They're all really good though. If you want my recommendations, check out the list I made in here earlier. But yea, I'd just go out and buy their stuff, it rocks.

Well, I have to like them first before I buy their shit, ya know?

I suppose...I dunno, I bought their Ascendancy album on a whim. I'd never heard of them or anything by them, I just wanted some new music. Who'd have thunk it would have been the best album I'd bought that year.

If you know... between Heafy and Beaulieu, which one is pulling off those nasty solos in every song on Shogun? I want to know who to credit. :D

They actually alternate. On most of the songs, both of them play from what I saw.

That makes it even more impressive then. Chemistry plays a huge role there.

I still can't stop listening to this album to and from (and sometimes during) school.
