According to this Truehoop article by Broussard,

One plugged-in person with knowledge of Portland’s inner workings told me Roy spoke with Blazers management less than two weeks ago about the need for Miller and him to part ways. While Roy did not issue a trade demand or request, I’m told he said something to this effect:

This is not going to work, so you should trade one of us. Whether it’s him or whether it’s me, somebody needs to be traded because this is not going to work.

Portland general manager Rich Cho, as well as Roy’s agent, Bob Myers, denied that such a discussion ever happened.

Do you think Roy actually said something like that? I don't know what to think about this whole situation. It's frustrating to be a Blazer fan right now. :sigh:

Well ... I wouldn't say it's impossible that he said it.

We should just trade Miller and get it over with. He's an expiring deal and he's a decent point guard, so there should be takers for him. But I think our team is going to wait till around the trade deadline to see what the best offers are.

If it was anyone but Chris Broussard I'd laugh it off but Broussard it pretty well-connected throughout the league.

Also, nice little nugget at the bottom:

With teams -- Dallas and Orlando, in addition to New York and New Jersey -- trying to put together trade packages for Carmelo Anthony, Portland’s phone is ringing off the hook. The Blazers have several assets that would be desirable in a three- or four-team deal. Wonder if Miller could be one of them.

Good to hear I suppose.

Dear Brandon,

Portland can't trade your Prima Donna ass because you make too much money and have no knees left. You are a shell of your former self, and while I sicerely hope you regain some of what you lost, I am not holding my breath. Please accept the fact that you would be better off coming off screens than trying to take guys twice as quick as you off the dribble.

Love,
MM

Couldn't agree more. I used to love Brandon Roy, but with his prima donna ass lately, I can't even root for his no defense playing ass. It's sad because he's the only player on the blazers I feel that way about.

Patty Mills has the same affect on me.

No kobe was winning and could demand respect....not like Roys bitch ass... who throws the best Blazer player under the Bus (who is also alot older and been through more shit than roy)

I think breaking up a dynasty is way more selfish than being right in saying Andre Miller isn't a good fit. Kobe's situation was by far worse and it's not even close.

Looks like it worked out just fine, he is well on his way to 6 rings....

But he could've been on his way to 6 rings years ago, had he not broken up the team (and Shaq not been a big fat ass)

He could be well on his way to 7 or 8.....

It didn't work out just fine. He was such a big bitch he ran the most dominant player in the league out of town. THAT is selfish. Roy being correct in saying him and Miller aren't a great fit really isn't imo..

I understand why they broke up.

I don't find Kobe to be selfish, and his fanboys need to be put in check. I'm in the middle ground.

Name me a great player that went to management and essentially told them to give him a new PG. I mean seriously. If your good, you learn how to play with each other.

Roy is certainly a diva.
