I want to go. I've never seen them live. I wonder if they're good live.

I have seen them twice. The show they put on at the Roseland after they released "Comfort Eagle" is one of my favorite of all time. Seen them again years later at the Crystal Ballroom and it was good, but not great. I blame the Ballroom though since I have never seen a great show there.

Roy wants to win. Roy/Miller is 11-14 this season. I think that's Roys biggest problem. It doesn't work. In the one game without Miller, Roy easily got to the basket on several possessions, he got to the line 9 times, and we won the game. Please don't turn on Roy, guys. You're like a broken record, turning on Sheed, then, Zach, now Roy.

Look, do you care more about Miller playing well on a losing team or the chance to play better with the right personnel around Roy? Dammit, get it done. Mo Williams, Jamal Crawford, JASON TERRY (in three way to get Dallas Melo?), or even Boobie Gibson. C'mon, Cho. Fix it.

I understand what you are saying here and in some ways agree, however, IMO Roy lost the Dallas game. I watched it last night again and if Roy had not played we would likely have won. His very poor defense led to several uncontested scores. His offense was nowhere. He is the one who is/cannot play with the others and I believe he should be traded if possible or set on the bench. He either has to preform or not play! If his play is physical then he needs to sit, and if it is deliberate then he needs to sit. That maybe sounds like he is a Diva, no?

That was when I think the team lost the game. Roy took over as PG and the team began to struggle. The score went from about 6 points down to 10 as the quarter ended. When Miller came back in in the fourth quarter we began to come back again.

If we had played any other player ( like DC) than Roy we would have won the game I believe.

Roy is not only, not holding his own but has actually become a liability to the team IMO.

I'm not disputing that the team's offense struggled when Miller went to the bench, but I don't think you should overlook that it was Miller's two drives to the middle and get stuffed plays that killed the Blazers' chances of winning the game. After the game his quotes on those plays were kind of conflicting. First he said he was fouled on the first drive, but the road team is never going to get calls like that at the end of the game. Then he said he was driving the middle to try to force the refs to make a call.

I mean seriously. Like Miller, or not. He's been the most consistent player on the team this year.

The pick sides game? I'm just a little tired of seeing some people here do nothing but tee off on Roy. Miller's all right and I've got nothing against him, but if in fact he's been the most consistent player on the team this year that simply highlights why the team is losing so much. He gets his points, but I don't see that he's the kind of PG who makes others around him play better.

We should just trade Miller and get it over with. He's an expiring deal and he's a decent point guard, so there should be takers for him. But I think our team is going to wait till around the trade deadline to see what the best offers are.

The Blazers are bad right now, subtract Andre and they will probably be a lot worse... but I'd certainly be open to exploring this option. I wouldn't just trade him to make a gimpy Roy happy as I don't think anyone could pair with BR the way he's been and form a solid backcourt. If I'm moving Miller I'd probably want the value coming back to be in draft picks and the pecking order of those will be more established the farther into the season we get.

Just throwing out their options... if they choose to keep Miller through this year and exercise his option in the offseason, he'll be an expiring contract again next season.

As I've said for 4 years now, Roy is the bow line and anchor that keeps this ship in drydock and continually retooling. Either he is incapable of learning new skills and adapting his play to fit a team, or he's too arrogant to do so.

I've heard this sentiment about fans "turning on" Roy, here and elsewhere. I can't speak for others, but I don't think I've "turned" on him. To me that implies I'm doing or saying something that is unjustified.

To the contrary, I think Roy is turning on everyone around him and his attitude and behavior are harmful to his teammates and the fans. If one craps on the best interest of the fans (who are ultimately the reason for his $84 million contract), one should expect a negative reaction.

I'm also not that sympathetic to Roy's "coping issues." Coping issues does not excuse bad behavior -- explain it perhaps, but not excuse it. The man is 26 years old! He isn't a child. The human brain is fully developed by age 26. Well, for most of us anyway.

The fact that Brandon helped the team win games for three seasons does not give him a lifetime pass for behavior that is detrimental to the team and the fans.

The second part about "Miller playing well on a losing team or the chance to play better with the right personnel around Roy?" I'd say neither of those "alternatives" is a given and in fact you've presented a false choice.

It's not necessarily a given we will be a losing team if we traded or benched Roy and had Miller/Matthews/Batum/LaMarcus/Camby leading the way.

And to "play better with the right personnel around Roy" is either not possible, or else Roy is sandbagging it to get his way.

My god, If Roy is suddenly 'healed' once Miller is traded, he will move below $amon on my list of past Blazers. Seriously.

IT doesn't matter how old you are, Grown up's act like children when the world as they know it crashes down on them. Roy has turned on everyone because he's in defense mode, and doesn't know where he stands. I like you, am not excusing his actions, but I AM sympathetic to his struggles, he was dubbed the toughest player to guard by one of the top defenders in the league last year, and now backups are sending him to the floor. The PG that Roy plays with doesn't matter, he's just using that as a defense tactic. Roy has no choice but to adapt his game, and it is undoubtedly and understandably a hard pill for this all-star to swallow.

For as many good moments as B-Roy has given us, I believe if your a true fan you'll give him time to come around.

In my view, there's been an awful lot of negative conjecture about Roy and his motivations, but very little in the way of facts upon which to base those conjectures.

I don't think that fans who seemingly want to toss Roy under the bus right now are doing anything beneficial to the best interests of the Blazers' success. Because of his contract and condition, Brandon's not likely to be playing for anybody but the Blazers for the foreseeable future. It's going to take some time for Roy, the coaching staff, and his teammates to figure out how he can best contribute to the team's success.

What I find interesting is that Roy easily could go into the tank, like Darius Miles, and just collect his huge paycheck. Instead, it is obvious that he cares about winning, and wants to improve the team (which clearly needs to be done), and he is getting ripped to shreds here by many of the same posters who spent 4 years feting him.

I appreciate your comments. My perception for a couple of years now is that Brandon isn't much of a leader and that he puts himself above the good of his teammates and the team. I have an extremely low tolerance for that. My past perceptions are certainly coloring my reaction to the reports we've been getting about what he's supposedly been saying to the media. It is possible, however, that I am full of shit. How the heck would I know the interworkings of the team and what's in Brandon's mind and heart? I don't. OK, Brandon is going through the 5 steps of grieving or whatever. Maybe I am too.

I reject B as well, and I fully support A. I just see a lot of blended AB posts, or what at least look like AB posts.

With that, what Roy says/thinks about Miller is largely irrelevant to me, because Miller is playing decent ball, the team is going nowhere, and he is by far the most valuable asset in terms of either rebuilding or lucking into some deal for a disgruntled young player who blossoms in Portland into a start.

The Miller vs. Roy mentality has clouded what is really the issue; how can this team stop sliding into obscurity again, because they are on that path right now. Also, if Miller isn't moved by the TE, I am going to completely do a 180 and say that the Blazers should exercise their option on him and try it all over again next year (if there is a next year). I'm just assuming he'll be traded, but the more I think about it, the less sense it makes to just cut him loose if he can't be moved this season.

My guess is that if they trade Miller to make Roy happy it won't fix anything. But at the same time, by giving him every benefit of the doubt, but if the Blazers do that, when it happens, and fails, then the Blazers can say they made every effort to help Roy before blowing it up and moving forward.
