My guess is that if they trade Miller to make Roy happy it won't fix anything. But at the same time, by giving him every benefit of the doubt, but if the Blazers do that, when it happens, and fails, then the Blazers can say they made every effort to help Roy before blowing it up and moving forward.
I don't think that sort of thinking should, or will, play any part of making a decision on Miller. Helping Roy shouldn't be the priority; helping the team win should be.
Cho stated he needs more time to evaluate the team. Rich, let me help you out. Your team is not a contender, and it will be lucky to even make the playoffs this year. I'd be surprised if it took you a few more weeks to figure this out. Knowing this, trade your most high-value assets, which include Miller and Przy (Batum as well, or hell, even Wesley Matthews if something worth it is out there). PG is a priority, preferably one that can shoot a little and defend a bit, as is PF. I'd say center, but with all of the injuries to centers around the league, the Camby model (rebounding and shot-blocking with little offense) is going to have to cut it unless Oden stays healthy and develops as an all-around center.
Good luck! You're going to need it...
