Politics Trump and third party candidates, 2024

Lol such small peen energy coming from this post. I don’t watch any news TV brah, the only person being manipulated is yourself. Calling Kennedy noble solidifies your lack of credibility at all, along with your constant regurgitation of Russian propaganda across this forum. You’re a useful idiot, and it’s sad you don’t even realize it. I don’t know what’s worse, your takes on the blazers or your takes on American politics.

What Russian propaganda, and where did your idea come from that certain views are "Russian propaganda?" The biggest propaganda assault you're under, is by the establishment of your own country. They are the ones that control the corporate media, and in large part, our social media networks, and who fund "influencers" to shape public opinion. People don't pay attention to the lies. Even when they do issue retractions, they never get the same publicity as the original lie, so they're able to mis-frame reality.

RFK Jr has sued corporate polluters and big pharma giants, to for billions of dollars. Yet when he does the same advocacy for one particular pharmaceutical product, a certain portion of the population shrieks. The corporate media cannot be relied on to cover this issue because pharma is their biggest sponsor by far.

We're told the safety of these products shouldn't be questioned, even though they are produced by the very same companies that have already been convicted of fraud many times. Not only that, but that those who are advocating on behalf of the victims are "fucking terrible". Of course they don't want any movement in our country to remove the no-liablity granted to pharmaceutical companies for their vaccines.

It was the vaccine manufactuers themselves that went to Congress and said that they couldn't produce them without being granted no liability because it would be too expensive. So that shows you what they really think about their safety.

As a capitalist and avid sports nut and past athlete I favor strong competition. In my business it always produced benefits to consumers, pricing, superb product and/or service support etc. If we end up with trump I blame both parties for not spending the last number of years coming up with alternatives offered by the two controlling parties, and the machines that keep them the prominent two. It's time for a legit third or fourth party for competitive sake and legit options for voters. I think all the dirt being thrown at Kennedy by both parties is bush league and a sign corruption. And dont like some of his views.I spent many years in a competitive industry and too bad mouth your competition was a sign of disrespect and not classy at all. Usually because they focused on someone else's negativity rather than the benefits and features of their own product. Those that did, that reputation did not serve them well either.

Or ranked choice, or something...

Can't agree more.

The problem with this approach is it requires more self responsibility and a broader perspective in life.... which many haven't learned those requisite skills. Unfortunately, until the broader population can grow up - we'll be left with this mud-slinging.

Politics ain't beanbag, as the famous saying goes.
If voters weren't such suckers for negative campaigning, it would go away pretty quickly.

With more options offered voters the margin fir error for the two Dominating Parties will get thinner. At some point people will go towards a more unified vision.

Has it worked that way for other first-world countries that have multiple parties? Have they a unified vision?

Of course, we'd have to educate our voters if we didn't want them to be suckers...

The dems have had since 2020 to produce a candidate that can beat trump but would decide on status quo to beat him.

This would be better. Just tired of voters being forced fed to go with one of two parties because big money and Media controlling the process.
If dems allow trump to win watch they’ll blame Kennedy rather than admitting Joe had tun his course.

And if Trump loses he will say the election was rigged and he'll blame everyone.

I think new political parties and fresh ideas are great!

But... let's see some sort of organization and proof of concept first. A viable and successful political party needs to be built from the ground up. From the local and state level. How about a governor? A few state senators? Then some positions on the national level, a few sentors? Some members of the House? But turning over the presidency to a political party whose only known member is a president seems pretty dumb.

Didn't they find a candidate that could beat Trump in 2020? And aren't they running that very same candidate that actually did beat Trump in 2024?

That sounds like a ton of work.

Wouldn't it be a lot easier to sit back and complain until someone gives us what we want?

Why does a third party candidate run? Except in rate cases they are not getting elected and know it. Many run because they have ideas or issues about which they want to raise awareness. Or to make a point of some kind. Why is Robert Kennedy Jr running? His only new ideas are antivaxxer and calling Palestinians pampered. Yes, he said that. It looks just like an ego thing. Look at me! And maybe I can pull enough votes of disaffected liberals to put Trump back in the white house.

Yes they did and I hope Joe wins but I admit he’s shaky in running again. I think anyone else from the dems would win in a landslide, but I question if Joe has it in him to do so.

I don't foresee any landslides in the near future. Whatever Trump does he has about 35% of the population in his cult and maybe 5 to 10% who vote Republican even if they dislike the candidate.

The election will be decided by a few hundred thousand votes in a handful of states. Sucks that my vote in California counts less than that of a person in Michigan but that is the reality.

A while back there was momentum to eliminate electoral college and have national popular vote. A majority in Congress were in favor and it was hugely popular nationwide. At the last minute scuttled by a small group of Republicans who saw a situation of a candidate with unpopular policies winning by way to electoral college.

We have safe vaccines. His questioning that is part of the antivaxxer movement that is helping to dumb down this country and shifting the focus from improving our institutions toward mistrusting them.

This is resulting in a less educated and less capable population that is more likely to make decisions based on faith rather than evidence.

Fuck him. He's every bit as bad as Trump. Fuck them both for forcing me to vote for a candidate like Biden.
Is it a coincidence that both Trump and Kennedy have the same multi-Billionaire donor as their by far main contributor or that their websites mirror each other?

https://data.usatoday.com/2024-pres...op-contributors-as-of-march-2024/?ref=kennedy

both candidates campaigns have the same coordinated goal, electing Trump. Kennedy is an embarrassment to his family and the definition of a tool

do you actually put any belief in the polls? They've been wildly off for some time now, but what has been a constant is Dems outperforming their forecasts since Roe was overturned.

Some but not a lot. I dont see anyway Trump beats Joe.

Kennedy running mate Nicole Shanahan, who has no medical training, denounced in vitro fertilization as a "lie" marketed to women and advised instead sitting in sunshine every morning. A pleasant thing to do, if it isn't raining or snowing or very cold, but no impact on fertility.

I don’t put a ton of faith in polls either, but there are a few metrics that raise out of the ordinary concerns.
Trump leads in 7 of the most important swing states. 5 of those 7 are well outside the margins of error.
Also, Democrats have lost 20 points among black voters under Biden. That is an absolutely crazy number and has no precedent in modern elections. Democrats are completely dependent on that voting block to win elections and they appear to be losing it.

Between now and Nov trump is going to aleinate more and more voters by is ridiculous comments and ugly persona.

There’s a difference between saying things and actively being the one funding an ongoing genocide.

But yea, RFK does completely suck on this issue as well as on all the other issues.

Clarified that for you.
