Trump: Bernie Sanders wants to tax 'you people' at 90 percent

Again... You are not understanding what "bipartisan" means. They would not be "at war" with each other if they are "bipartisan" they would be in agreement and working together to achieve a common goal. You keep describing "partisan" actions like "government shutdown" and "civil war," which is NOT and I REPEAT NOT "Bipartisan actions".

So let me ask you again... Do you really believe this government has been "weakened" when both parties are "bipartisan?"

Riverman admitted in the post you quoted that he meant partisan..

omg that would be so awesome, I hope he also promises hand jobs and butterfly kisses. Then Im totally voting for him.

I think he basically is promising lots of things he can't deliver on the money he claims he'll raise.

There isn't enough money.

The proposed payroll tax is 0.2% and intended to fund family time off. He is also proposing to remove the payroll tax cap for earners of 117k. This would raise the average $50k earners payroll taxes from $3100 to $3200. Not exactly the gotcha moment you were going for, but you are correct in that it is a tax increase.

Regardless of the "amount", again, taxes are still being raised. When does it stop? I for one, don't feel like I want to pay more because some other 'family' needs "time off". Go earn money yourself and work hard if you want "family time off".

The taxation trend has been to eliminate taxes on the lower income earners. Reagan cut 6M taxpayers off the tax rolls alone.

It's gotten to the point where more than half pay no federal income tax at all.

The "rich" aren't going to be soaked for much more revenue. They simply won't take a pay check. Many CEOs don't already. And the guy with the biggest income last year (made $150M+) had a $3M salary and the rest was unrealized/untaxable income. Bill Gates made a $1M salary his last year(s) at Microsoft. Tax him the whole thing, he wouldn't mind, and it won't get you much.

Heck, take his entire net worth and it would run the government for a day or two. And then there won't be anything left to take from him.

So if the intent is to really generate revenues to pay for "free" stuff, you have to tax the masses. No way around it.

What about maternity and bonding leave? I think a lot of people here agree that the destruction of the family unit is causing the downfall of our country.... should people just work through the birthing process also?

Sounds like every politician who ever ran for office in my 61 years of life.....

If you want to keep your doctor, you can keep your doctor. If you want to keep your insurance, you can keep your insurance.

That's how it really works. Lies.

Take good care of that tiny new tax payer.

Some already pay for that now, with FMLA. And family planning should include saving money for your newborn and family "time off" IMO

And most often, men (in a family) take advantage of that too when they could be earning a wage.

Finally, often times people get pregnant when they are not ready to have a family. That shouldn't be on the rest of the citizens to assist.

Edit: my opinions only. :-)

If the company has PTO, you can take that concurrent with the leave.

Coulda, woulda shoulda. If only everybody got pregnant when it was best for them to do so...... and if they did get an unwanted pregnancy, if only there was a health service to help them take care of that, or a family service to help them have the child......

I hear you. But that shouldn't be a burden to the rest of the citizens. Ya know? We're all free, so why should we have to pay for others unplanned/unwanted oops?

Sure there might be costs (i.e. the premium for filling with a temp which is often more expensive than the person doing the job), but I thought the suggestion was that taxes were funding this. I don't see how, unless you want to just call it a hidden tax to a company that would have fired the employee who took time off for FMLA and now can't because of FMLA.

I don't think Sanders' idea is to help the company pay for anything.

I guess my point is. People should take responsibility for themselves and their families and not expect government hand outs; with that said, I also think I shouldn't have to pay more taxes because Bern wants to create free college/healthcare for people.

And??? He meant it from the beginning. Why? Because he still talked shit about parties not agreeing, which wasn't the case. He thinks "bipartisan" doesn't exist

That's true freedom. If people are fine without being free, then by all means, keep voting for politicians that keep adding more socialized programs.

Personally, I like freedom

Bullshit, but it's ok mags..have a dig at my expense..Republicans and Democrats squabbling is the norm in Congress and Washington..you've posted about it yourself in the past. Two parties...lobbying for power...yeah..we know, we understand, it's failed us....move on

The parties fail the people. They work for us! They have been bipartisan for decades. They segregate against the people that elect them.

I totally agree in theory, you made your bed type of thing. The problem, as I see it, is that they are people and often products of their environment. Hopeless breeds hopeless. I dont want to encourage reckless behavior, but I do think if we dont do something we will be paying for it in other ways, like prisons and crime. I feel like we cant afford not to invest in the future of our country, in the terms of health care and education. Get healthy, get smart, get working.

I think every American wants this. However, I do believe there has to be a better way to achieve this than giving the government even more control and regulation over it.

True freedom is without being oppressed by regulation and policies. I understand we must have some sort of social program, but every inch you give, they will ask for more. Before you know it, you look back and realize they've taken a mile.

Hahahahahahaha! Funny, complete bullshit yet very entertaining. 8/10, would read again.
