Really, though, don't you you think Blagojevich serving 8 years was enough for the so-called "crime" committed?
No

The fact, is, his sentence was much greater than others for the same offense. Some judges just have it out for you, and your ilk. I can personally attest to that.
What are you talking about? There aren't a hell of a lot of people who try to sell a recently vacated United States Senate seat nor are there very many who try to shake down a hospital. Good Lord, stand up for what's right and oppose crap that is really very very wrong.

You must be kidding. The guy who benefited from Blagojevich's crime thinks Blagojevich got a raw deal? You really consider that a strong argument?

I do understand that, was bold enough to post the link, followed by the refrain "3rd" side. ;)

At any rate, there's no doubt in my mind that Obama's Chicago elite also played into the whole equation....although, I'm certain he'll be teflon through its entirety.

All of these pardons and commutations were of grossly unjust, politically or racially motivated, and sadistically excessive sentences. In addition, most of the criminals have already been in prison for all or most of their sentence and should have been paroled by now. The media only seems interested in talking about a minority of the newly freed list. Because it doesn't fit the false narrative they're presenting.

I'm impressed by your wokeness in recognizing the racist pattern in sentencing for black people, especially young black men, wherein judges will routinely give them longer sentences for the same crimes than white people get.

Same goes for men of any color compared to women, conservatives compared to liberals, ugly people with poor personal hygiene compared to anyone...

What punishment would Maris consider appropriate for stealing $200 million taxpayer money?
Funny the only folks with excessive sentences were white, all but one male, rich, Republican donors or pals of Trump or on Fox.
Under three strikes laws some people got sentences of decades or even life for a third strike that was a petty theft or bar fight, but those are not excessive because those people can't make donations to Trump's re-election campaign.
