Politics Trump denounces mail votes as corrupt – before admitting he applied for one

Not everyone has ID.
Some people don't drive or have a passport. They don't need to cash a check or need ID because they don't really own anything. These sort of people tend to be Black and Democrats (who else is going to stick up for poor Black people) and exactly what Republicans don't want voting.

If you can't bother to get an ID, then you probably shouldn't vote.

Careful, you might be called something very compelling...like one of the "Milano twins".

...also, I'll add make this preemptive response; :bwpopcorn: ...or maybe something even more cerebral, like "slurp slurp"...wait for it.
Hahahaha ohhh ha ha ahhhhhh fuck me this is classic.

Here's that petard thing again.

I don't recall you complaining about this...
well, the trump apologists have now appeared. Slurp slurp. :smiley-195517897341:smiley-195517897341:koolaid:

I didn't get that statement either...I mean, you even also said; " (who else is going to stick up for poor Black people) and exactly what Republicans don't want voting."

So I don't see how your post can possibly construed as "racist".
Black people think assuming that they can't get ID is racist. And it is. I can find a YouTube video of people being asked about it and why it is offensive.

...lol...the omnipresent race card...never fails...It's the ultimate blanket answer for some.

the choice has never been more clear: 1) make voting available to every person who has a right to vote; you know, the Constitution. or 2) suppress and dilute minority votes and democratic votes thru Gerry-mandering; phony voter-id laws; striking names from voting roles and erecting barriers to getting back on; closing voting precincts in minority and urban areas. And the newest tactic is to do it all during a pandemic. That's a preview of next November

Any asshole who approves of what happened in Wisconsin yesterday can go fuck themselves...yeah, I said it

I'd love to respond but my shipment of blank mail in ballots just arrived and I have to get my hands ready to sign at least 500 of them today.

Can I buy a gross from you?...if so, I'm not sure how much you'd want but I'll gladly pay Sly's standard $50 fee.

I wonder what they're going for on ebay?

I barely read about what they are doing so I won't comment.

I will say that elections for federal government positions should be a national holiday and everyone should get the day off. Those that can't, the employers should stagger shifts so everyone has ample time to get out and vote.

We also need a database where you and I can check to make sure our votes have been counted properly.

This is one of our most basic rights.

We also need to make sure that those who aren't eligible to vote do not.

Who those people are is a debate worth having.

Consider it done. I'm getting at least 10K before the end of the month.

Because some states will invalidate your ID for things like unpaid parking tickets. Civil penalties should not take away your right to vote.

Only if your a democrat

here is just a little of it:

the republican have gerry-manderd the shit out of districts such that in 2018 there were 200,000 more votes for Democratic candidates than GOP candidates for the State Assembly. But the GOP held a 63-36 advantage in the chamber...after the election

News-Dem-Election2-11152108.jpg

it was that same Assembly that insisted on holding the election yesterday. They know that fair elections are bad news for them, and a 4-2 right wing majority on the state SC prevented the Governor from postponing the primary till June...like every other state with an April primary has done, both 'red' and 'blue' states

the result was that a vast majority of poll workers refused to show up and risk their lives as well as the lives of their families for an abortion of an election that should not have happened. The result of that was that Milwaukee, which normally has 180 voting locations, only had 5

all of that could be solved by Vote-by-Mail; or at the very least, universal no-excuse Absentee voting. I don't think you'll find very may people in Oregon who want to go back to the old system of voting

This one of our most basic rights.

I agree which is why I think the 20 year crusade of the republican party to disenfranchise democratic and minority voters is so despicable

Sluuuuuuurrrrrrrp.

7/11 is gonna sue you slurpy.

and once again, you never fail me. Thanks for showing us who you really are.

By the way, why would 7-11 sue me? You're the one that's fixated on slurp slurp slurpEE not me. :biglaugh:

I don't like vote by mail. I'd make an exception for the disabled and anyone else who can't physically make it out to vote.

If my opinion matters I should make the effort to go out. I also don't like finding out new info after my ballot is already sent.

Any American should be allowed to vote. If you need an ID to vote then that should be provided by the gubmint free of charge.

The Republicans wanna win. It is a big money sport. It disgusts me too.

That's bullshit. In most states it costs a significant amount of money and quite a bit of time plus quite a bit of effort to gather the supporting documentation just to get state ID. It is the Constitutional right for people to vote. In order to permit people to have this Constitutional right then the state should provide the state approved ID at no cost and with an expedited process. Then I'll agree that ID should be required to vote. You can't deny people their Constitutional right just because a handful of people fraudulently vote.

Requiring ID to vote was a republican idea drummed up just to suppress Democrats from voting. Yes, it was thought up so that more Republicans would stay in office and new ones would get into office. This goes well with their brand of extreme gerrymandering.

You're going to have to get into my mind before you can call me a racist.
By the way, I haven't noticed you in my mind so neither you nor anyone else can label me as racist. Dumbest thing I've ever heard of.

Note that when states require ID to vote they are very selective. Student ID, Medicare ID, even state employee ID are not acceptable, but gun permits are. When Alabama mandated ID to vote they also closed DMV offices in 13 majority black towns, preventing people from getting the ID.

So, I assume you wrote this post at a polling location?

I also don't like finding out new info after my ballot is already sent.

So don't fill it out earlier than the deadline.

barfo

I like vote by mail as long as you are registered to vote, in this State of which you can do when getting ID, or license of any kind.

lol, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out. Amazes me the excuses some people come up with.

I agree and from how I understand it, you won't get a ballot unless you are registered. Never heard anyone complain in all the years about any voter fraud in Oregon and instead have heard it praised as a very succesfull process.
