Politics Trump fires Comey

Very disturbing. I just don't think it matters anymore. Too many citizens are having too much fun playing sides instead of actually caring about this country. At some point, team D or team R needs to stop mattering or this nation is doomed. We might be too far gone.

This country was already fucked. The politicians running this shit have been crooks for quite some time. We've gone around the world and toppled regimes, killed world leaders, swayed elections, and interfered in things we shouldn't have. Politicians make laws that benefit themselves. Its all a crock of shit.

Its all just coming full circle.

You know every major publishing company has already contacted Comey for a book deal.

"This administration is about winning hearts and minds. But we won't connect the two when it comes to legislating our policies. Yeah.... I know it sounds A WHOLE LOT BETTER when I say it!"

Trump is having an affect on international politics.

Today, the conservatives running South Korea for many years lost the election. A liberal will now be president.

Last Sunday, a liberal won the presidential race in France, beating out the conservative candidate that was often compared to Trump on many issues.

Trumps erratic and unprofessional behavior is scaring the rest of the world away from their conservative parties, and towards their liberal parties.

2018 will tell all. South Korea and France are pre-cursors. The backwards rednecks die for good in America. Fuck them.

I'm not a Democrat FYI so keep that shit holstered

Completely ridiculous non-sequitur.

The last President of South Korea was impeached a few months ago and was embroiled in scandal. Had nothing to do with Trump.

France has always been a liberal country. Having a far right candidate do so well speaks volumes.

Besides his Twitter feed, what SPECIFICALLY has he done that is erratic and unprofessional? If anything, I think he's done well. Not perfect, but well enough for someone who's never been a politician.

Oh...by the way....that Liberal in South Korea? He wants to negotiate with Kim Jong Un and have open dialogue with him. Because yeah....Un is just SO trustworthy and sane.

That tells you just how out of touch with reality Liberals are in this world. What's next? Is France going to open a dialogue with Teodoro Obiang Nguema? Where does this shit end and boundaries/standards/principles begin?

The optics could not be worse regardless of Dems adverse reaction to Comey's role in the election. Two very, very different situations. If the WH didn't honestly see this then they're as fucking stupid as they appear
Isn't this how Nixon's impeachment started. He tried firing the FBI director and everyone else he could, and then well, he was forced out.

Nope. Nixon treated the toady Hoover as his secret police chief. Nixon was insecure, recorded conversations and thought all his decisions had political after effects. He was more worried about his reputation rather than the job he was elected to perform.
He was totally self absorbed. I was 17 in 1970. My father was a hand writing expert and taught classes regarding same. He illustrated that Nixon and Adolph Hitler's writing slants were the same when they were in decline. From what he taught me, Trump is absorbed with himself, secretive and ridgid in his decision processes.

Trump names new director of FBI.

Not Groucho. Is Vlad. The suit gave it away.

I am neither for or against Comey's firing.

The guy who wanted him fired was just confirmed by the Senate a couple weeks ago. The FBI Director reports directly to him; he's his boss. There's nothing fishy about the timing - if the guy was confirmed sooner Comey would have been fired sooner. The new guy came in and fired him.

It's clear that people on both sides didn't like Comey. Clinton came out and blamed him a number of times for her loss (which is bullshit). Schumer called for him to be fired, as did outgoing Senate minority leader Reid. Republicans were angry with him for laying out the case Clinton broke the law and then saying he won't prosecute.

The stories all along have been how he's shut down agents and offices that wanted to investigate Clinton further and others about how he went over the line by making public statements about investigations all along. There is an obvious dissension among the people working at the FBI. He allowed Clinton and her coconspirators to testify not under oath and destroy evidence (hard drives, laptops, etc.).

The con that's going on is evidenced by Rasta's tweets.

The FBI director isn't an independent special prosecutor. This is nothing like Nixon firing Archibald Cox.

Justice Department inspector general to investigate pre-election actions by department and FBI

The Justice Department inspector general will review broad allegations of misconduct involving FBI Director James B. Comey and how he handled the probe of Hillary Clinton’s email practices, the inspector general announced Thursday.

The investigation will be wide-ranging, encompassing Comey’s various letters and public statements on the matter and whether FBI or other Justice Department employees leaked nonpublic information, according to Inspector General Michael E. Horowitz.

The inspector general’s announcement drew praise from those on both sides of the political aisle and again put a spotlight on Comey, who emerged as a controversial figure during the 2016 race. Democrats, including Clinton, have blamed the FBI director for the Democratic candidate’s loss, arguing that the renewed email inquiry and Comey’s public missives on the eve of the election blunted her momentum.

Comey has also been criticized for months by former Justice Department officials for violating the department’s policy of avoiding any action that could affect a candidate close to an election. President-elect Donald Trump has notably declined to commit to keeping the FBI director.

And here's the punchline:

Brian Fallon, a former Clinton campaign spokesman, praised the investigation Thursday.

“This is highly encouraging and to be expected given Director Comey’s drastic deviation from Justice Department protocol,” Fallon said. “A probe of this sort, however long it takes to conduct, is utterly necessary in order to take the first step to restore the FBI’s reputation as a non-partisan institution.”
