And you are absolutely right that it is a group effort. But, the president does have it in him to make the final decisions and to exercise powers and rights that us as an entire group can only petition him to do. So in a way yes and no... we don't need him but we absolutely need him, and unfortunately he seems like the absent father who we just need to make sure he gives us a safe place to live.

I get where you're coming from, but we do need him to co-sign on some things if this country is going to get a little safer, too.

I don't think we need him. We don't need anybody to make changes of our own. Now with us, I don't think we are the type on the forum to go crazy on people and further create that division, we all have different opinions though. There are though as seen with the neo nazis and very young people in college being told things that just aren't true so they get angry instead of researching, they get upset over little things and go to protests and get violent, yell at cops. None of that is good. On both sides. I mean Obama used to say all the right things but there were very real things that happened under his presidency that rubbed me the wrong way particularly the drone strikes. How can you preach peace but have all these civilians in the middle east getting gunnned down by drones? that's why their words mean nothing to me.
