Israel would NEVER say anything to the contrary publicly.

They didn't have to say anything. They didn't have to say they're looking forward to working in more depth with Trump.

But they did.

Saying nothing would have caused more shit. And it doesn't help that Trump is visiting next week.

Yes, really.

I have no reason to think the guy is lying. Yet.

I do have proof the media is out to get the administration and that they've run with completely false stories all along. The two most recent were the threatened resignation of the deputy atty general and the Comey request for more funding. This is looking like a 3rd smear that's being proven wrong.

"Credible news source" is an oxymoron.

I would consider it credible if "unnamed sources" were named and "former officials" weren't given much weight.

And Clinton denied the Monica Lewinski story for a long time as well. Hell, he was impeached by the house for lying under oath about it. I have no idea why you trust the word of government officials. Of course they're going to cover their ass. Hillary lied as well. They all lie.

It's cause they have (R) next to their names. Denny finds them highly credible for some inane reason.

"until they're proven liars" lol. Cute considering this entire administration is unequivocally going through a crisis of credibility.

Can't prove them liars if every news source is fake news.

Eh..... maybe Denny is right after all....

In private, three administration officials conceded that they could not publicly articulate their most compelling — and honest — defense of the president: that Mr. Trump, a hasty and indifferent reader of printed briefing materials, simply did not possess the interest or knowledge of the granular details of intelligence gathering to leak specific sources and methods of intelligence gathering that would do harm to United States allies.

The media's narrative crumbles even more. Here's the city, in public reporting, that Trump somehow reveled as a secret.

U.S. Raid in Yemen Led to Laptop Ban on Flights, Officials Say
Intel sources fear terrorists can make bombs as small as computer batteries, provoking the ban on carry-on electronics at sensitive foreign airports.

Three intelligence sources told The Daily Beast that the ban on carry-on electronics aboard U.S.-bound flights from 10 airports in North Africa and the Middle East was the result of information seized during a U.S. raid on Al Qaeda in Yemen in January. The United Kingdom joined the U.S. ban Tuesday.

Information from the raid shows al Qaeda's successful development of compact, battery bombs that fit inside laptops or other devices believed to be strong enough to bring down an aircraft, the sources said. The battery bombs would need to be manually triggered, a source explained, which is why the electronics ban is only for the aircraft cabin not checked luggage.

CNN backpeddling over their own prior reporting.

The President did not directly reveal the source of the information, but intelligence officials told CNN that there is concern that Russia will be able to figure out the highly sensitive source.

There is some disagreement, according to one of the sources, as to how far the President went. The intelligence relates to what is known as a special access program, or SAP, which covers some of the most classified information and is protected with unique access and security protocols.

Damage control is more important at this stage. Too much at stake for the region and radio silence would have been deafening.

They didn't have to say anything at all.

You haven't shown any reason why they would, except to get into better graces with Trump. You do see the disconnect, no?

More public reporting.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakla_raid

At dawn on January 29th,[30] several dozen[13] U.S. Navy SEALs from the Naval Special Warfare Development Group, as well as operators from the United Arab Emirates, were landed by MV-22 Osprey Tiltrotor aircraft near the home of al-Qaeda leader Abdul Rauf al-Dhahab in the mountainous Yakla region of Al-Bayda. While approaching, the operators were informed via a communications intercept that the al-Qaeda forces had become aware of their position.[9] The SEAL team "found itself dropping onto a reinforced al Qaeda base defended by landmines, snipers, and a larger than expected contingent of heavily armed Islamist extremists."[29]

Surviving villager Sheikh Abdelilah Ahmed al-Dhahab reported that his eleven-year-old son, Ahmed Abdelilah Ahmed al Dahab, was the first to address the soldiers, asking "Who are you?" He was fatally shot.[31][32]

At the village, the US-UAE team engaged in a heavy firefight with the al-Qaeda forces. US helicopter gunships and fighter aircraft also fired on the town.[13] During the evacuation of the SEALs, a United States Marine Corps (USMC) V-22 Osprey was damaged in a hard landing after losing power, injuring three additional SEALs aboard. The Osprey was subsequently destroyed by a friendly airstrike.[33]

The operation severely damaged a local clinic, the mosque, and the school in the impoverished Yemeni village.[34]

More public reporting. Supposedly, Trump leaked information about the possible damage of laptop bombs exploding on airplanes.

Feds conducted series of tests to determine credibility of new aviation threat
Mar 22, 2017, 7:51 AM ET

U.S. authorities became convinced that security measures for certain U.S.-bound flights needed to be boosted only after conducting a series of tests to determine the credibility of new intelligence, ABC News has learned.

Earlier this year, authorities obtained intelligence indicating that ISIS associates were trying to develop explosives-laden electronics that could be smuggled aboard planes, according to sources familiar with the intelligence.

The subsequent tests were executed in recent weeks, looking to determine whether terrorists could carry out the latest form of attack with a bomb hidden in electronics.

The tests led authorities to one conclusion: "It can be done," one source told ABC News.

The Department of Homeland Security ultimately banned all electronics bigger than a cellphone from the cabins of some direct flights to the United States from 10 airports in eight Muslim-majority countries.

Sources said that the airports affected by the restrictions were not directly named in the most recent threat intelligence gathered by authorities, but those airports were identified through intelligence analysis paired with other government information.

In an interview with ABC News, Rep. Eric Swalwell, D-Calif., a member of the House Intelligence Committee, warned about the "new aviation threat."

"We know that our adversaries, terrorist groups in the United States and outside the United States, seek to bring down a U.S.-bound airliner. That’s one of their highest value targets. And we’re doing everything we can right now to prevent that from happening," Swalwell said Tuesday.

Nearly two years ago, ABC News first reported that an internal investigation of the Transportation Security Administration revealed security failures at dozens of major U.S. airports. Undercover investigators were able to smuggle mock explosives or banned weapons through checkpoints in 95 percent of trials. The series of tests were conducted by Homeland Security Red Teams who posed as passengers.

Meh, given how much a lackey Bibi is with Trump, the last thing he wants to do is publicly piss him off. Hence that statement from the ambassador reaffirming the relationship. The last thing Bibi wants is Trump being ticked off to the point where he starts mulling a two-state solution...anything to appease the master regardless of what may have went down behind the scenes.

Saying nothing wouldn't piss anyone off. Lots of countries are saying nothing - that's how it's done.

Israel is heavily reliant on us. They need us more than we need them. They don't want to take that risk especially with an unpredictable tyrant in the White House.

I'm beginning to think I'm just like the Obama haters

I simply do not like Donald Trump

Not because he's black, or a Dem, or a Lib, or a community organizer, obviously

It's because Donald Trump is so clearly an all time cunt
