Second Senate Judiciary committee member has now been diagnosed with Covid-19

The 25th will be invoked within the next week, is my prediction. Acting President Pence. There's the October surprise. Unless the Supreme Court nominee get Sars-Covid, the Acting President will push it through. Which in my opinion is a giant constitutional crisis. But that's just me.

Question for those of you that know your politics-- was Trump forced to retire or worse, would Pence automatically become the candidate, or would the GOP have the opportunity to nominate someone else?

Edit: I understand he would take over in the interim but the term is almost finished.

Good question.

If Trump were to retire, step-down, be incapacitated before the election, Pence would become president then the republicans would either have to select a new nominee for the election, or Pence could potentially automatically take Trumps place in the election because he is on the ticket and the incumbent.

If it happens after, if Trump wins, Pence would then be president and eligible to serve out Trump's term. If Biden wins, Biden wins.

This close to the election the candidates can't be changed on the ballots. People are already voting. I doubt the election can be postponed. That however remains in question.

The last three sentences in this response are ominous.

Trump campaign won't pull down negative ads
In response to the Biden campaign’s decision to pull negative TV ads while President Trump is hospitalized, spokesperson Tim Murtaugh told CNN that the Trump campaign will not make a similar move.

If he dies, how does the forum handle this in regards to the bets made on him winning? This is important info, I think we need a ruling on this. I think someone had a 500 dollar bet with magnifier, if he ever shows up again, and there was at least one more, if not 2. Inquiring minds want to know.

He could die and still win the election. Doubtful but hey

First thing to remember- Never bet on a Forum and expect to be paid.
Second thing to remember- If you want a second thing to remember read the first thing to remember again.

I don't mean to be mean, but maybe if her mom took this seriously instead of just trying to please the cum dumpster in chief (and thus, her pocketbook), she might not have it.

She resigned a month ago. Has she even been around the White House? I hear other people are getting it too.

She was at the Barrett announcement party on Saturday

My comment isn't dependent on her being at the White House recently.

What kind of protection does a president have, if they give up power to the VP (in this situation for example)? Like, one of the conspiracies about him as President is that he's protected from litigation....so if he gives Pence the throne, does that mean he's open for litigation?
