It's not useless that with all the attack campaign ads against Trump and how little Trump has raised/spent in comparison, that he's even close in the polls.

It is YOUR quibbling that led me to prove the Liar's campaign spent money on 8000 attack ads.

Sure. You can't make up for Hiliar with hundreds of $millions in attack ads.

And money clearly isn't the dominant factor in determining who wins.

Wait, so Hillary is running ads against Donald Trump and this is bad because why?

Who should should she be running them against?

No Denny, she isn't going to run them against herself.

I can't wait for Denny's outrage when she agrees to debate Trump instead of debating herself.

It's not bad.

It just hasn't helped her very much. See the polls.

Top Clinton aide mocks donor’s appointment to board

A top aide to then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton appeared to mock the appointment of a major Democratic donor with little experience to a sensitive government intelligence board allowing him the highest levels of top secret access.

Rajiv Fernando, who contributed to Clinton, her family’s foundation and Barack Obama, was named to the International Security Advisory Board in 2011, though he resigned days later after his appointment was questioned.

“Couldn’t he have landed a spot on the President’s Physical Fitness Council?” Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Philippe Reines wrote in a State Department email in 2012 to two other Clinton aides.

(quid pro quo)

I've seen a lot of coverage of Hiliar attacking Trump with everything she can muster. Unlike the primaries, Trump has hardly been on the attack. Hiliar every day. Trump a couple times a week.

His strategy of using social media instead of TV advertising seems to be working better than one might expect.

Hiliar and the PACs that support her have spent something like ~$133M on attack ads already. Trump only ~$300K. Yet the polls are close.

~$133M vs ~$300k. Not a typo.
I think there was some article that had Hillary spending $500 bil or something with over 300 staffers to Trump's 56 staffers and $40 something million.

The numbers I saw were 600 staffers, $300M to ~60 staffers and $35M.

Time to get money out of politics.

That right wing conspiracy site, Salaon, weighs in on Trump's speech yesterday:

http://www.slate.com/articles/news_...llary_clinton_was_terrifyingly_effective.html

Trump’s Speech About Hillary Was Terrifyingly Effective
He left the clown act to his surrogates, mixed in a truth or two among the lies, and zeroed in on what people hate about Clinton.

Donald Trump’s Wednesday morning speech about Hillary Clinton’s record is probably the most unnervingly effective one he has ever given. In a momentary display of discipline, he read from a teleprompter with virtually no ad-libbing, avoiding digs at Bill Clinton’s infidelity or conspiracy theories about Vince Foster’s suicide. Standing in a low-ceilinged conference room bedecked with square chandeliers in the Trump SoHo, a lawsuit-plagued hotel and condo development, Trump spoke for 40 minutes without saying anything overtly sexist. Instead, he aimed straight at Clinton’s most-serious weaknesses, describing her as a venal tool of the establishment. “Hillary Clinton gave China millions of our best jobs and effectively let China completely rebuild itself,” he said. “In return, Hillary Clinton got rich!” He added, “She gets rich making you poor,” and called her possibly “the most corrupt person ever to seek the presidency.”

...

Like all skillful demagoguery, Trump’s speech on Wednesday interwove truth and falsehood into a plausible-seeming picture meant to reinforce listeners’ underlying beliefs. In May, Morning Consult polled people with an unfavorable view of Hillary Clinton about why they didn’t like her. Fifty-eight percent said she was too liberal, while 22 percent said she was too conservative. But 82 percent of Hillary-averse voters said she was corrupt, and 88 percent said she was untrustworthy. These are the beliefs that unite her foes across the political spectrum. It’s why Trump, with his devious talent for derisive nicknames, was smart to dub her “Crooked Hillary.”

barfo's talking points site has a different view of Trump's speech:

http://talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/for-trump-almost-normal

For Trump, Almost Normal

I don't know if you heard Donald Trump's anti-Hillary speech this morning. It was filled with a slew of demonstrable falsehoods about Hillary and this very overheated argument about Hillary being responsible for the deaths of thousands and using the State Department as her own "private hedge fund." A reader wrote in this afternoon to ask for help understanding what Trump was even trying to say with that remark. I didn't get a chance to respond to her yet. But the gist I think is that there's no there there to understand. The point is that Hillary's a crook, uses any position in government as a way to enrich herself and is just generally awful. Tossing in "hedge fund" is nothing more than Trump's permanent need to act out dominance politics via hyperbole, even when it's devoid of any actual meaning. And yet, once you got past the febrile Hillary bashing, the most notable thing about the speech was how relatively normal it was.

He hit on some basic themes of economic nationalism, a less interventionist foreign policy. He even had a good turn of phrase skewering Hillary's "I'm with her" slogans and shifting it to 'I'm with you.' All good politicians find ways to turn the natural personality cult of high level politics back to a focus on the individual voter. Trump's not a natural electoral politician. He's a natural rabble rouser. But this was an effective turn of phrase. He also followed up with the claim at least that last night's email fundraising appeal brought in an impressive two million dollars.

Here is an interesting read on the subject.

http://fivethirtyeight.com/features/the-clinton-campaign-seems-to-think-pennsylvania-is-in-the-bag/

It's 538 looking at polling that shows PA being tied yet Clinton skipping PA in the new add buy. question is, whose right?

We won't know until the vote. But there is a November surprise in the making.

http://www.realclearpolitics.com/articles/2016/06/23/health_care_premiums_up_and_rising_again.html

In 2016, the joker in the deck may come the first week of November — and it won’t be a surprise, just a shock: Fueled by the requirements of the Affordable Care Act, Americans’ health insurance premiums are likely to spike.

(Wanna bet there's some sort of attempt to delay this until after the vote?)

Raised 5 million in 2 days. Not bad! Now releasing the dogs on the site!

He definitely laid it on her during his last speech. It was great because CNN (Clinton News Network) fact check team tried to say Trump made a false statement, that was later proven true.

The Clinton News Network just hired your bud Corey Lewandowski. Seems like an odd hire if they are totally in the tank for Hillary.

This is just the beginning my friendly neighborhood Liberal

Well, I would hope so for your sake. It's not a very promising beginning, but I guess it is more effective than what he's been up to recently (Mexican judges, etc).

Saw all that in a leaked DNC memo. Almost word for word.

Gucifer 2.0

Really? You saw NPR's fact-checking of Trumps speech yesterday in a DNC memo? Interesting... do go on.
